Besides, The hive would be shot down in like 5 seconds because thats all it takes to move from marine (CT)start to aliens (T)start on ns_rats.
CS maps too small for NS... and, <i>the kicker</i>, NS maps too big for CS.
Take nothing... and having a bomb spot in Power Silo and Cargo... that would be sweet... *ahem*. Running in either direction means commiting the whole round to that side of the map.
Or solve that problem and put the bomb spots closer near the center, and you have tons of wasted map and n00bs camping in random secluded corners with big guns. It would be fun initially, but ultimately suck after 3 games when you realize you never find anyone and the timer keeps running out <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo-->.
ns maps are supposed to be played in ns.
or am I wrong? why port the maps if it makes no sense because the games are too different?
only to pull some cs-kids to ns? too lazy to map for a mod from the beginning and start a new project? not a clue of how ns is working? a missing ns.wad <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo--> its like port cs maps for dod only to place the tnt at the c4 spot... IT REALLY MAKES NO SENSE. ns mapping is much more of a challenge so take it or dont...
though i gota admit itt may be usfull , one of my clan mates are a former cs player

What they do need to do though, is put in an env_gamma and knock it way down cuz yeah... too bright on ugly halflife textures = gross.
Haven't tried the other "cs" maps though.
