I've been following patch information for both for quite some time and I'd have to guess Diablo 2. They seem to wrapping up the quality assurance phase and will probably have it out in a matter of weeks. NS 1.1 is still undergoing major gameplay revisions and will need some time to settle before it is released.

I'm so waiting for both... You know the new ladder system thing? Me and 1 or two friends are going to start new chars for that and play the game together and try to get to the top. I'm gonna do a sorc because their my best, then another friend is going to do a javazon and if we can get 2 more we'll have a druid and a bowazon.

Since when Necro represented the whole community? He just wants a dicussion on which game will come out first and it's features or quircks.

I've had a bet running for... forever I guess as to which patch will come out first. If I had to guess, we'll be playing 1.1 by the time we retire, and it will be our grandchildren playing 1.10 (knowing Blizzards record on dates).

Damn, That truly would be a very tough decision. I doubt Diablo 1.1 will come out until the apocalypse, anyways, so here's hoping to the NS patch coming soon!

This is Blizzard Entertainment we're talking about. The same company that literally takes years to release a patch only to have 2 tiny changes to it! Look at Starcraft 1.10 for instance:

These are bugs that most have never even seen, in fact, the public didn't even find them out to my knowledge. Not to mention the first bug fix barely made sense when trying to figure out what they said they did. How exactly does a drone fail to build an extractor? It's impossible to get in it's building area to block it for what I know. Seems like a pointless fix. This patch just messes up 1.09 replays with Zerg players in it for all I'm concerned. This patch took like 3 or more years to release.

On the other hand, let's talk about Natural selection. They release patches with dozens of fixes in a few months, or less, apart. In fact, we get informed on the progress, unlike the latter. <img src='http://www.natural-selection.org/forums/html/emoticons/wink.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='wink.gif'>

that was true, I don't know if they got more people. Majority of Blizzard is working on WC3 Xpansion, World of Warcraft or Starcraft:Ghost.

Not that I care because NS is the only game I play, but....

Blizzard with a lot of capital and a pool of well paid, highly experienced developers, or our trusty superman Flayra, coding away frantically all on his lonesome while having to read all the drivvle people spiel about his creation?

I spose the logical answer would be Blizzard, but never underestimate the power of beuracreucy to slow things down!

one is a coder and another is a artist

but they have like 20 people testing the game for bugs and imbalances.

I'm seriously awaiting the NS patch, but the Diablo II one, meh. Personally, I just like NS a whole lot more than I like Diablo....
