    lol im in on the bet too, i bet you it wont get locked.  I just bet a couple more people will post, hey it will be released when they feel its done!  Luckily they are down to the end (playtesting for bugs balance and gameplay) but honestly, that could be anywhere from 4 weeks to 4 months, but hopefully closer to 4 weeks.

    I'm sure you I'll hear many posts that tells you "it's done when it's done!" and THEN it will be locked.
    Seriously, no-one who isn't the developer knows it. And even Flayra hasn't a final date in mind i think...

    You really need not worry about this.  As Babylon 5 says -

    "We will arrive when we arrive and we will have what weapons we have."

    Okay, so it's not the best quote, but it gets the idea across.  Making hundreds of posts asking things like this is only going to slow down development, as team devs are forced to sit and reply to them.

    But trust me, however long it takes, it will be worth it.

    Did you know that NS has actually been totally finished for about 2 years now?  Us playtesters and the dev team are just so greedy and arrogant/stubborn that it will never get released to you members of the public.

    Just for you guys to have an idea... I check the NS site twice a day. no exception. When I don't have time, I don't check the forums, but I always want to make sure that I get those news (or NS itself) in the day the appear!

    Feature Complete: all code is in. Everything works properly, not necessarily perfect, but it all works. There are now things such as maps, models, etc. to add and things to fix and change and tweak. The game, in itself, could be played with standard HL models and play almost exactly as NS is intended to play. It's now down to adding the eye candy and tweaking.
