They kinda look like crabs that hovar without flapping

    and I wasn't yellin at Dela, I was yellin at Ollj.

    and Cereal, Hudson already has the animations figured out, so don't worry yourself over it.
    The skinmesh is the 2D layout of the models surfaces that will be skinned. Get HLMV (Half-Life Model Viewer) and look at any model, go to the Texture tab and that flattened out .bmp you see is the skinmesh (along with the skin in most cases.)

    if it has a color... it's meshed.... (further updates will look like this)


    i've decided that instead of repeting the skin for the bumps.... i'll mesh the whole thing... i've got a few plans for layout of the texture already...

    my question now is... where should the most detail of the mesh be placed? wings, or spine/bumps?

(when idle, it flaps its wings slowly...not stop and land)

    Yeah, I agree with the wings. They're the largest thing that you see, and the bumps are also somewhat hidden.

    Would you be so kind as to release each part of the mesh as you go. That way as each bit is meshed it gets skinned as well. This might be hard to do since you'll have to edit things but if you 100% sure your finished with one part i'm anxious to start <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo-->

    who decided the muta had bumps, while playing today, i was looking close, and i saw a spine, not bumps...

    ohh well, anyone got art that shows it's got bumps?

    its from that blasted game Starcraft: GHOST. yea, if you go to www.blizzard.com and look at the screenies, one of them shows the bumps. i see the bumps on the muta in game though. they are slight, like bump that resembles a blister or zit of sort, not sharp like in the screenies.

    progres report:

    the whole back is meshed... and i realized i was doing the bumps wrong... so a start over there...

    unless ou guys don't want to detail, the SIDE of the bumps... (it's a top view of the bumps themselves the whole time...)
