I modelled this but unfortunately geocities isn't working for me so I have no idea when I'll be able to upload the file
It ended up being around 1,500 polys which should work fine on average systems. If low end users really want it, the opposite side can be deleted since you don't see it to reduce to about 2/3rds that. (that is assuming this ever gets actually put in game, none of mine have yet )

I feel like i've seen that gun from some game somewhere heheh. I think Terminator: Dawn of Fate with the automatic-pistol kinda thing. AP-60 I think it was.

Hmm...Terminator would be a GREAT Half-Life 2 mod.
(ooh)
Imagine that hehe

It may indeed be that gun paranoia, I found it at a cyberpunk website which means the guy probably re-named the thing and made up a whole bunch of crap about it

I can post a few pictures here and more when geocities works again for me.

The top looked a little bare, but it looks plenty good with a rail/carrying handle/holosight etc.

I made a few areas darker to show better contrast between the parts

nah, "L337" modellers can make it look good AND keep polys down, so I have quite a ways to go. I'm learning just like a lot of you; nothing more. As far as modelling in general, check out Jaegers bloodasp for an idea of how far I've got to go!!! I'm in awe

I really wish I could model low-poly. When it comes to models like the Blood Asp, the challenge is just getting the basic positioning down, fixing deformities, splicing primitives here and there, whatever. Low-poly modeling is so freaking hard for me to do because of the amount of preplanning it takes to keep them low. I can't do that, there's a mental block somewhere. Take a look at Burn's Seburo 6mm. If I tried to pull that off, the polies would probably jump into the 3000s or more.

Is it just me or does it look like the box "thing" on the middle "thing" (I don't know crap about weapons!) is going to get in the way of the top "thing."

...if anyone understands that please put it in english.
