Weird Sound Problem

<div class="IPBDescription">Yea I searched for it..</div> Alright, here's my problem, it seems like my sound is unaligned.. or something. It's hard to explain. It seems like my right, is actually my back, I can't hear anything at all comeing from that dirrection. In my back left I can't hear anything at all, and everything around it is extrmely muffled, but I can hear fine in every other dirrection, if I turn to the dirrection I can't hear, it becomes fine. But obviously this makes the other dirrections muted.

I have a SoundMAX sound card and I've never had sound problems up till now. I'll go test if this is only NS or not.. hopefully someone else has this problem also.

Edited, yea it's got the same problem in other half life mods.. I went to CS_Italy and listened to the music there.. it seems to be just my left side. Though if I make a noise like shooting my gun I hear it fine in both ears.

    im not fimilular with the SoundMAX. but with other surround sound cards ive worked with normally come with a program to test the speakers by making a sound come out of 1 speaker at a time. if theres no program try the usal stuff. update drivers, update direct x. make sure the speakers are plugged into the right holes.
