How Do You Want To End Your Ns Games?

<div class="IPBDescription">Perfect NS games</div> I decided to ask this and see what kind of games community likes, so just tell what kind of games you would like to be played.
I would like...
15% of the games to be several hour battles where both are on top of their tech trees. They are fun but tend to get boring if every game lasts for hours.
55% average games where both sides are fairly even. Games last from 30-60mins.
15% to be won by rushing. It's refreshing change and a fair tactic. Games last from 5-10mins.
15% domination games where other side clearly controls the map. Games last from 30mins-hours depending on a) Dominative sides will to finish b) the other sides will to struggle(and maybe make comeback). I think these are a part of ns and as much as I hate dragging the games I really enjoy the possible comebacks.
So...how do you like your ns games served?

I like any game as long as it doesn't turn into a stale JP/HMG rush...
The map was Eclipse. It was my first time comming an entire game. Ever. We had been fighting for nearly 20 minutes, and finally pushed the aliens back. We held All hives but maintenacne, which we were taking care of in short order. When I saw the hive go down, I assumed that we had won. Perhaps i shouldn't think....
Anyways, I ended up placing a phase, in celebration. I had planned on wasting all our res on buildings. Why? Can't say. Then I placed another. Actually, I filled up the entire South Loop with side-to-side Phase gates. For one reason or another, my grunts decided to BUILD them. A marine jokingly asked if I was attempting to rip a hole in space...
Now for the bad part.
Somehow, the aliens had managed not only to take Comp Core back, but Eclipse Command as well. Hives went up in short order (mind you, this was during my massive PG-frenzy).
Then came the fades.
My marines, with absolutely no resources or upgrades were angry. Oh yeah. They were also angry about the migraine-inducing, FPS-killing, lagpit that South Loop was. I was ejected in short order, and continued playing among a hail of curses and insults.
Eventually, I broke out in tears and left, just as the Oni were coming. 'Nuff said.
<i>The moral of the story? sometimes let me comm. Or you will lose-lose Dubb-Style.</i>

hence "I would like" <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->
If alien, i love to mess up nme soldiers parasiting from distance and retrating. If marine, building a hiodden ST in a vent is amazing.
I hate face to face rushes, there is no real "fight", skulk kills lmg, hmg kills skulk, fade kills hmg, ha kills fade and so on... stealthy games are really funnier!!! <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo-->
Nevermind I will only play two or three games per session this way, I'd rather play three long, cool games than playing 8 short games. Finally, even the losing side usually has had a great time in these epic battles.
If anyone was there in Roob's server the other day....
Aliens had one hive with the marines having 2 hive lock down and full upgrades everything.
After a 2 hour game the aliens came back and we won. After a long span of killing res nodes and making the marines run out of money.
omg victory tasted so sweet!
Marines move in a group, lerks umbra, ppl listen, comm is excelent, etc etc.
Basically a game where everyone is good, and does as they are told with tons of communication/action/etc.
...
Or me being the only one left with Heavy Armor, a Shotgun, full uprgades, MT, welder, and full HP/Armor/ammo with TONS of weldables in the map for me to use. <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->
If someone is going to adopt a defensive strategy where they sometimes attack the opponents and each team builds up to massive tech and it's an onos on HA battle, it's not specially epic, but a better play if they got their without camping in base for an hour.
(this is what i'm feeling for 1.1 there's no way i can say the same for 1.04)
I agree with maveric here. The "play as should" games usually end up the best.
Yea, but surely this is a way of thinking better suited to matches? Public play should be about trying to have fun while allowing others to have fun, to expand the game a little bit, to play for the sake of playing. Not to just decimate the other side because you can. That sort of thing just creates bad attitudes.
i like variety, i like change, i like adapting to it. i like seeing new tactics, strategies, etc. i hate tedium and repetition <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo-->
