Losing hosting? Not good D: It just puts more pressure on other servers! *Hunts for more servers* As for size, well, with 4 new maps, and every other map revamped some... it's gonna be another biggee, thats for sure.

I mean, seriously, they are allowing you to use their bandwith, WHICH they are paying for, for free. Why would you want to boycott that??? All you have to do is wait in line. And no, I do not work for fileplanet, I am just merely trying to back them up because they are kind enough to let us download games for free, we only have to watch a couple ads which can be minimized and wait in a line.
yeah but there are a load of other places you can get them from free, what makes fileplanet so special that they can charge ppl for priority downloads...
THEY AREN'T CHARGING YOU OMG!!!! You can still download for free you just have to wait in line!!! Wow, don't you see my point! They probably have a couple OC/3 lines or something like that so what do you think they are going to use to pay for that? I am thinking asking their mom, which is probably how most kids pay for thier broadband connection, isn't going to cut it. So let them give u a line because this is America, ppl have to make money to survive, and their services wouldn't be there for you unless they made money.
no, youre not getting my point. i think fileplanets priority stuff is bollocks, cos there are plenty of places you can get the file free with no queue (in my experience) so it sorta makes the 'pay to jump queues' thing utterly redundant.
If ppl starting using the other services like gamespot and other websites that allow downloads with no line, the same thing would happen to them. They would setup lines and everyone would have to wait, its just a matter of how you can control the people. Fileplanet's solution is an organized way of allowing ppl to download. I was mad that they started with the lines when I first heard about it, but I am not as ignorant anymore because I realize that I am not paying for the service, they are giving it to me for free. You all should realize that, that doesn't mean that you SHOULD download from fileplanet, just don't start boycotting things for no reason.

Download lines kind of make having Cable/DSL pointless. You'll end up spending the same amount of time downloading (or not downloading) as somebody on 56K.

An old 56kbps modem gives you a max of around 5.5 KiloBytes/Sec
Its roughly a factor of 10 less
I declare the fileplanet slagging match offically open.
