Tfc Problems

<div class="IPBDescription">Wierd</div> A while ago before NS was even released I had a problem with TFC where whenever I tried to join a server it said a model differed from the servers and that I can't download because of restricted constincency(sp?).

And then one day on IRC I asked this same problem and Fam came up with a solution that worked.

I am just asking if anyone knows how to fix this. And if even better Fam could come and give the soultion that was used before.

    File Consistency? Just replace any custom models/the model it specified, with the original one.

    That's the problem I have no custom models.

    Unless the High Definition Pack are custom models that would affect TFC.

    Are any used in TFC? If so, rid your system of them.

    I'm not sure If any are used in TFC though.

    With Fam's help before I could use the HD pack and it worked.

    I'm pretty sure the high definition pack would count as custom models.

    Try replacing the grenade model, I think TFC uses the standard HL grenade and therefore will use the HD pack version...but I'm not sure as I don't have the HD pack and havent played TFC properly for like...two years

    I've not had any problems but this could be a solution. In a particular patch all of the player models were remade. Some servers still use the old ones and that could possibly be causing the problem. There is an option (I think it's in customise) that allows you to choose between the old and new models. Hope that helped.

    Im 99% sure they do. I installed it then played TFC, i had the shotgun from Blue Shift.. Wth?

    Shotgun, Rocket launcher, crowbar, grenades. Alternate solution, delete all those models, and join any random server and download them.
    Also, you can just uninstall the HD pack, and the best solution is, of course, just to join some other server- I have HD pack and can play TFC just fine.
