<div class="IPBDescription">and other pt bitchiness</div> Does anyone else have the suspicion that a heck of a lot more went on behind the Natural-Selection playtesting then just developing and playing?
One thing that I noticed just recently was how the vets/pts talked about having to vent frustrations and "wanting to kill" one another. It almost sounds as is they were all put in a little room full of computers for a month with nothing to do but play ns and "urinate" each other off. Is that really what it was like?
The most prime example of this seems to be that one vet came out distinctly unliked. The mysterious "Aphon"? Did anyone else notice that in a "phased" thread in the beta forum even the great MonsE (a forum administrator no less) himself was paying him out.
Then again in yet another thread Aphon asked "can you pathetic fools go one thread without belittling me" or something like that?
So can a pt or vet enlighten me - was the testing like one giant ***** fight? Where the estrogen levels pumped? And what did this Aphon character do that obviously bought everyone else down on his back?

Hrrmmm... Maybe so. Wasnt really my intention - was just curious. But then again - the vets/pts didnt seem to be falling over themselves to cover it up either. Seemed quite public, and given that even forum admins where giving him a good roasting in public I would find it a little strange if I got sat upon for asking what pt'ing was like and more specifically what this guy did that was so terrible.
Aphon is a hater.

Since the pogo-stick tester actually touches the ground with a pretty small surface, his chance of setting off a pressure-activated mine is considerable smaller than someone thudding the ground with his two large, ungainly feet.
Since his method of movement is jumping, his chance of setting off a tripwire-mine is also considerably less than that of someone swinging their lower appendages along the ground.
And since pogo-stick testers are quite adept at pogo-jumping, their chance of falling (which would easily prove fatal) is quite low.
All in all, a pogo-stick tester might be safer trying to cross a minefield on his pogo-stick than on foot.

Ahhhh, but if he is a pogostick tester, maybe there are bugs in the pogo stick that make it work dysfunctionally, therefore making him/her more vulnerable to mines......
