well here it goes.
Life sucks, Marlow sucks, my school sucks, most of the teenagers round here are <b>low lifes</b>, they for no apperant reason throw stones at you and drive round in FUGLY cars listening to crap music, most girls are <b>evil</b> who have gotten themselfs pregnant * which is good as it shortens their life spans * today some low life scum broke my mums car window to steal her freaking hand bag, WTH ? wheres the point in that ?, man i swear god killed the dinosaurs by accident, should have been us who should have been wiped out we are obviously the lesser speices, what's worst is that it's not getting any better this world, by the time we got it all right it'll be over for us, i hope we don't colonise on mars as it'll just prolong the waste of space we are * we could send the smart people though <!--emo&::nerdy::--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/nerd.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='nerd.gif'><!--endemo--> * thank you for letting me get everything of my chest, feel free to post anything or let your rage off.

Just because your area is not what you want it to be (alot
of area's aren't, especially in this day and age) it doesn't mean
you can't live happily (or as close to it as possible) somewhere else.
As for the bit about pregnancy and it being "good" for "shortening
the life span", that kinda touched a nerve with me as a very close friend
got herself pregnant at the (quite) young age of 20. And its not very
nice reading that someone is happy that single mothers now have an even
harder job ahead of them because they won't live as long.
Try to see it from other people's point of views before going off on a
bender. But you ARE right in certain aspects.... the human race is indeed
declining and we have no-one but ourselves to blame.

I know a guy from my church whose mom's car was broken into. The only thing that was stolen: the club on the steering wheel - thievery of an anti-theft device... how amusing

This just sounds like my childhood and my life as it was. All i can say is things get better, you've just got to stay positive.

Think positive, work hard, focus on what <i>you</i> want from life and don't let the *ssholes beat you down.
I went through my entire childhood / school life being bullied, been attacked several times in the street, i could rarely go an <i>hour</i> (out of the house) without being insulted / spat at / whatever. And no, i'm not exaggerating. Thought about suicide a few times and if it weren't for one of my close friends, i would have done it....
Well after i finished school i heard through other people, others i knew from school that weren't so bad, that 90% of the **** from school didn't even go to college, failed most of their exams and, well, will get nowhere in life. And here's me, through college, starting uni soon, working the job i love.
Stay positive, don't let yourself turn into one of <i>them</i>, keep an open mind and treat people how you'd like to be treated. Dispite what most people say, your school life is the worst time of your life. Once you're out of there and older and mature, you'll love life, it rocks my socks <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->
I remember how crappy times were when I was 14 -- and actually looking back I realize there were a bunch of things that, had I changed, would have made everything turn out *even* better.
This is probably going to sound like old fogey talk to you, but here goes anyway.
1) Never lose confidence. Be confident that you are better than those who try to break you. Be confident that the world is better out of middle/high school. And be confident in your abilities to pull through if things really do get screwed up.
2) Invest some money. I don't know where you live, but in the US at least, time is your greatest resource. Money + time = more money. Don't waste money on crap that you'll use once and silly trinkets. Show your support to companies you do think are good by investing.
3) School smarts aren't enough. Join extracurriculars to meet people, and to work on socializing. Date people for practice (yeah, I know it sounds mean but you'll want perfect skills later when it really matters). Don't let people tell you what is right and what is wrong -- develop your own sense of morals, as long as you can see how life can be through other people's shoes.
4) Spend a little time every day exercising. It sounds hackneyed and silly, but it really works.

Find something you love doing. Do it.
It's that easy: Every day, I help a concept becoming a game - only by minute contributions, but nonetheless. Every day, I get better at mapping. Every day, I hear something new and exciting. Every day, my writing improves a bit.
Every day, I go to bed, feeling content.
There's not much point in looking around and letting the circumstances drag you down. They don't make your descisions - <i>you</i> do.
Be grateful you have good parents (I'm assuimg you do) and that you see the stupidity in their actions and don't feel hesitant to elevate yourself above them, becuase there is nothing wrong with being better than scum.

It's because were still pretty tribal. If someones differant, their easily identified as the enemy and are treated as such.

Take the whole "UK Garage" scene, it's all full of braindead neanderthals with guns and buttloads of bling. What the +f**k+ kind of message is this to be sending to kids? People that say that this crap is "real" are speaking out of their arses. It's +filth+ like those people that encourage the youth these days to be violent, that money is all that matters. Well **** that. Count me out, i'll be with the rational sane thinking majority on this one.
These days people don't look up to a great artist, or a great writer like generations over centuries before.
500 (or something) years ago you'd be looking up to someone like Shakespeare, nowadays people look up to Eminem. Christ. The world's going to hell in a handbasket.

but every now and again some "humanist" tell me to get some perspective. You know those types of people, many of them regularly post here. The ones that believe that "together" we can solve all our problems. That we should worry that, some jock with small balls, and iq of 60 with a grudge cause his father sexual assaults him, wants to vent his frustration on you. THERE ARE CHILDREN DIEING OF HUNGER IN AFRICA. OHH PLEASE THINK OF THE CHILDREN.

Perspective isnt that grand. Its almost useless when you use it to devalue you yourself and then rationalise your existence as less meaningful cause you believe in something bigger. And that why I hate religon. Faith is positive, religon not. Spinzoa (sic) talks of an intellectual love of life, and thats the best I can do. I guess thats my faith. There is no God. And cause of my affirmation of that fact, I struggle morally and with the purpose of my very existance. What are morals withot God? What is purpose without God? Simpley I live cause i am interested. I am apathetic forsure. Many concerns of a "better" citizen are of no concern to me. I live cause i am interested in the world, and myself.
You could argue that this is just a metaphysical easy way out. That I taking nihilism to practical extremes. This may be the case, but i am sure part of my rejection of some much is my innate independance. Hence the thought of being put in a category or a box issults me.
I am sure one of the mods will come round and edit this post to say TEEN ANGST is big red letters.
