NS maps are too complex for all crappy decompilers.
The finished maps are always way too complex for beginners to get anything from them. The best way for you to learn is from the basics. Like I and many many many other mappers did. Work, sweat, experiment, swear, work, bang your head against the wall, experiment, you've done it! All it takes is time. Good luck! <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->
Decompilers aren't really 'crappy' now. I can understand why you've said that - they don't output anything usable or even nice to look at, but they do pretty well considering the task at hand. All your world geometry gets compiled into the bsp as one big lumped worldbrush. This means that finding the areas to split it up again is a very difficult task - proven by the fact no program is able to do it well.

Man you forgot the saying OMG THAT WAS THERE THE WHOLE TIME!! when you look at the top left corner and see the grid size.
Before i found those buttons I used ctrl+m to move the brushes up and down # values to resize them inside the 64x64 grid.
When I found those buttons I just about threw my computer threw a wall I was so frustrated...
