Versus Fights

I would like to hear some opinions upon the following fights, I am posting this becuase I have nothing else to do, and it's interesting to think who would come out on top.

Note to admins/mods: If this is in the wrong place, my bad, I thought offtopic would be the best place for this.

Fight 1:

A Gargantua vs. A Strider

Fight 2:

John Carmack vs. Gabe Newell

Fight 3:

Maybe some more fights later on, when I think of stuff that gamespy hasn't already done.

My opinions:

Fight 1:

This would be a tough one, both are impervious to bullets, and have some really crazy attacks. I'd have to go with the garg for this one just because of his size, could knock the strider right off it's stilt feet and crush it.

Fight 2:

I'd have to say Gabe, I think Carmack would have no chance.

Fight 3:

The Abrams, the HL2 tank doesn't look like it can drive and fire in different directions. The abrams has that to its advantage.

For the 1st I'd go for the gargantua. He has big strength and speed, which the strider doesn't have. It could just grab one of the strider's leg and whip it around for a while.

For the 3rd I'd go with the Abrams, that hl2 tank looks kinda puny.

Haha, I read the post date, because I remembered something like this, and it said July 5, I thought it was June 5th, and all the posts dated July, I thought, "What the? How did this get bumped up if the last post was in June 5th?"

Anyhow, Strider for number 1. It can obliterate anything with its cannon.
2, Gabe Newell. Why? Because. It's nothing I can explain =)
3. I'd have to say HL2 tank. It looks more cool, and the Abrams was taken out by the Hulk, so...

1.: The Strider. While Garg is happily frying one of the legs, the cannon locks on...

2.: Newell, in any category imaginable. Did I ever mention I hate Ferraris?

3.: The HL2 tank. It looks rather well shielded, would thus survive more hits, and in such battles, that's pretty much the deciding factor.

4.: Solid Snake. Sam Fisher may be cool and all, but did <i>he</i> survive the confrontation with a house-sized robot even <i>once</i>?

1. Strider. **BRZAAAAP**. Now it's Strider vs. Pile of Ash.

2. Gabe. He's bigger, I think.

3. HL2 tank. Looks like it could eat through the M1 with that cannon.

4. Solid Snake. Although I love Sam Fisher like a child, and his acrobatic stunts are mad cool, he just can't keep up with the superhuman Snake.

Vs. #5: Who would win: <a href='http://www.starwarsonline.net/files/reek.jpg' target='_blank'>The Reek</a> or an Onos?

Anyway, as for the M1 abrams debate, it would depend on many factors. We know plenty about the abrams, and nothing about the HL2 tank; can't judge yet. Besides, it has giant wheels and no turret, you sure it's a tank? <img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif'> That is all.

6. T-1000. No matter how many bullets Agent Smith pumps into him, the T-1000 can just melt himself and let the bullets go right through his body.

How about this one, <a href='http://www.quakefr.com/images/doom/monstres/hellknight2.jpg' target='_blank'>Hell Knight</a> or <a href='http://www.arrakis-ttm.com/doom/archvile.gif' target='_blank'>Arch-Vile</a>? I'd have to say Arch-Vile, he can torch you in a matter of seconds, not to mention send you flying backward.

As for the 6th fight, I'd have to say:

Agent Smith, he'd assimilate everyone, and eventually figure out how to kill the T-1000.

@Pjofsky: The severs too busy, so I can't see the arch-vile pic. Going by the doom 2 versions of each, I would say the hell-knight.

1. Hmm.... if both were controlled by people and not AIs, the Strider would win; it could keep out of range of the Garg and shoot it to death. If both ran off AI the Garg would win since the Strider wouldn't run away and would be mooshed by the Garg.

2. No idea what you're talking about (I'm British, I assume these 2 are American?)

3. Can't say i've seen the HL2 tank....

4. Snake, DUH!

5. Ooooooh...... teh ownos. It can have Regen and celerity <img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'>

6. Smith, provided he's allowed to take on another body. That said, he would go through quite a few bodies before he took the T1000 down.

O.k, I've been thinking about this one forever (thats how sad I am), what about:

11. Dante VS Blade

(i.e, Dante from devil may cry and Blade from the film.... Blade)

They seem similar, both use akimbo guns, both have Deamonic powers, both have nice looking swords. The only real difference is that Blade uses armour, while Dante doesn't NEED armour, since he can survive having a sword stuck through him (not so sure the same would apply to Blade's sword, being made of silver).

Or maybe John R Blade. He is the ultimate dude. Shame no-one ever played SiN but me; it was kind of eclipsed by half-life which was released about a week later.

12. John R Blade VS Solid Snake (if you know who Blade is)

Personally, I have to say Blade would win. Sure, Snake beat up a big mech/robot thing a few times, but so did Blade! (Thrall was kind of a robot) And besides, he uses Dual-wielded Magnums (in the expansion pack, which about 3 people played).

It depends on which Agent Smith you are talking about. The matrix Agent Smith could telefrag whereas the Reloaded Agent Smith could h4x his way into making copies of himself...

1) Strider, that cannon is rather bad **** plus it has those sharp things on the end of it's feet. It'd be a garg kabob.
2) This guy <img src='http://www.gamespy.com/top10/january01/designers/newell.jpg' border='0' alt='user posted image'> could definitely beat this guy's <img src='http://www.gamespy.com/top10/january01/designers/Carmack.jpg' border='0' alt='user posted image'> **** any day of the week at any given moment.
3) It's a hard decision between the M2 abrams and the hl2 tank... i'm gonna have to go with the hl2 tank on this one however based on the amount of armor it has.
4) While Sam Fischer is good at being uber-sneaky, Solid snake is an uber bad **** who kicks ****.. I'm gonna have to say Solid Snake would win here.
5) I'm gonna have to go with the reek on this one. Those forward horns would be extremely useful for jabbing and stabbing...
6) Agent Smith... just because of the ability to create so many of himself. That battle would either never end or the T1000 would wear out or something. Robots don't last forever...
7) I'm going to have to go with Arch-Vile here... While hellknight can pound you, Arch-Vile has the ranged incendiary attacks. A cooked hellknight is a useless hellknight.
8) Gonome is another contender who could pound the crap out his opponent but again Imp has the indendiary ranged attacks. The imp would win this bout.
9) Jackie Chan would defintely win. Steve Irwin can handle his wild animals but can he handle a being without 4 legs and a brain bigger than a fist?
10) Abe vs Teddy is definitely a difficult one to consider... Abe is very tall and so he has a longer reach than teddy, but teddy was psychotic. I think teddy simply because he is just a little bit crazy.

Well, as cool as the strider looks, I'm sure the gargantua is just too heavy armoured. It would just take some hits from the striders cannon and then smash the strider down and burn it...

Although I'm a huge fan of Gabe, he's too nice and friendly to win against such a evil person as Carmack... Carmack would win (although only with some dirty tricks).

A Abrahams has no chance against the power of a tank builded and designed by VALVe... Did you see how easily you could destroy a normal human tank in Half-Life I?

Neither Sam Fisher nor Solid Snake would win.... Garret would come from behind, knocking Sam Fisher out and piercing Solid Snake's throat with an arrow <img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'>
