I got results for my last four units: 2 distinctions, 1 merit and 1 pass...

...and my overall (including the above): 5 distinctions, 2 merits and 1 pass.

Congrats, both of you.

I had my graduation celebrations yesterday - no idea about 'merits', but my overall average is a flat 'B' (in case you're German: Abischnitt 2,0), which is, considering that I went through some of the hardest exams of the country, not all that bad.
Ah, a strange feeling: Yesterday - pupil. Today - unemployed

NemZer the dirty dole bludger!

I pay my taxes because of you!

Wait.... you're in a different country. Well, if I was in your country... I'd probably be paying my taxes because of you.

Maybe.

Actually, it's only a sort-of holiday for one to two months, depending on when I'm drafted for social service. Yes, in a short time, I'll be serving my country. Unfortunately, I know too much history not to make that sound hollow.

Good luck, Soul.

Yay for my "Schwerbehindertenausweis"(handicap-certificate? )!
Two weeks ago, I was officially "befreit vom Wehrdienst"(released from military service AND social service) and I'm also no longer "unter Wehrüberwachung"(don't know what that is in english, didn't even know this expression in german untill two weeks ago)!

Congratulations and good luck to all of you, I've still some years in our nice little education-system...

In short, it means that you're allowed to leave the country for more than two weeks without of notifying the military, which I would have to do right now.

I wonder whether I actually have to notify the military. I suspect not, as I did Zivildienst instead of Wehrpflicht, but still... 9 months spent in Denmark might mean that I am eligible for getting hauled into a court-martial. O_o

I got an A in Microbiology and Zoology.

Only a B in Biochemistry, which is good considering I was so tired I fell asleep in the exam.

If i knew the scale, I'd complement you, but since merit pretty much means merit everywhere, congrats.

I got a 4.2 cumulative last year, a 3.985 this year, and next year, I'm taking so many weighted courses it'll be in the 4.8 range (you can only get a 4 without weighted courses). Go easy public schooling!

The cool thing is that if I work my arse off in high school, I'll be able to graduate and go right to college as a junior. Apparently most of my required courses are out of the way, so I can take college ones and get credit for them .

Right to college as a JUNIOR? Sophomore, that's doable, but... have you been taking AP courses for 4 years, or what?
