Mining Colony 2273 section Delta
Population: 3273
Status: Unknown
Planetary Atmosphere: Safe
Military Status: Local Militia
Importance: Level 3
Colony 31942 is based on a Earth Class planet Found in 2025 By J. Charles. Upon further examination of the planet from orbit there was massive amounts on mineral found by core scans, the planet was quickly marked to be mined by the Trans-System Authority.

We are beginning our Travel to the planet shortly; I have decided to go along with the first group of colonist after all I cant wait to see what its like down there atmospheric distortions have stop us getting any video images back still im sure it will be a site to behold.

You gotta come here dear I have addressed this log to you with travel access here it all I expected it to be and more lush green landscapes, mountain ranges, streams and even better the mineral readings are off the scale even higher than the ones we took earlier. I got to go the Colonist are searching for a site to set up base camp speak to you soon.

The miners found something strange not far form our camp roughly 200 metres in diameter cut from solid rock. That it self is not really interesting but upon closer examination of the out rock it would seem that it was dug which of course is impossible ill continue my investigation.
Oh I got some strange readings from the latest mineral scan maybe some underwater river here.

Being neglecting my logs recently john will have my **** if he thought I wasn’t keeping them updated so here I go. The mining is well under way were pulling in more than any other colony by far…which is great I guess but im starting to have worries that under water supply is strange it moves around areas it couldn’t and sometimes does not even show up at all I don’t want to open a fissure accidentally, we have lost enough men already to these mines 47 miners so far have disappeared fell down some hold drunk some where but still. The Federation just blew it off when I mentioned it said it was “a job hazard” **** id like to throw them down a mine shaft.

Its not right over 400 of us have gone missing now. I don’t know what to do were fighting each other some say it ghosts or maybe some sort of mine creature but nobody knows. I have reported this to the TSA now they have insisted there is no Kharra activity on the planet who they would have detected them, besides the front is over 2 months travel away. I guess there right I just cant get rid of this feeling……I should ignore it we have a job to do.

I liked reading them, you did a good job molding these into a true logs sense
more if you can spare the time

The marines of the 22nd ground division were bored…again. It seemed the TSA had forgotten about them, simple orders really “move to orbit of colony 31942 and wait for further instructions” great walk in the park. The 22nd had a reputation to of being a veteran “bug killers” after all you don’t do 4 months on the front line with picking up a thing or too. But it was far from the truth only 200 marines out of 2000 were original members new recruits came and went no need to learn names life expectancy of a new recruits in the front line was low to say the least.
Still they were eager to get stuck in always boasting telling stories about fights they have been in, most had not even seen an alien those who had u will find would have s**t them selves.
Kayos grinned to himself lost in thought “You should have seen it” he looked up to see a new member to the squad standing on a table with new recruits sitting around him. “There I was alone, my squad had ran away, or died and this kharaa came flying out a vent towards me, I spun to face him and fired. Stupid thing hit the deck before it even got to me. Clearly didn’t know who it was dealing with” He was grinning widely and the New recruits were wide eyed and well impressed Kayos shrugged and stood up.
“WHAT the hell is going on in my canteen?” Kayos Recognised the voice Commander U. Smith nicked named Batman by the regulars he was by far one of the best In field commanders the TSA had to offer Always had a plan for one thing or another.
The Marine jumped of the table quickly “Get Your **** over to Launch Bay 1 one the double were moving down the planet in 1 hour ”.nobody else spoke they just did as they were told. `At the very least, they would be useful for one thing `

The Whole Division was in the launch bay. The “Vets” were sat around on one side ignoring anybody they didn’t know, patience for Noobs was short to say the least fight normally broke out as a regular event. Nothing ever came of it the new recruits avoided them like the plague for some reason they were nervous around them.
“ATTENTION” seconds past and 2000 marines were in file standing ready quite a site to behold. “Orders are in from Hq according to them there is a hive of some sort down there find it blow the s**t out of it, questions?”
“2000 marines for a hive seems a bit far fetched”
“what about the colonists?”
“For starters I have no idea why the sent us all, secondly the colonist have been marked as…expendable we are not here to save them.” At that a murmur went through the marines all but the “Vets” there was no more question everyone had enough to think about the boarding light came on and they were on there way.
