Somone help!
I just downloaded ojji's maze map or whoevers it is, and I really wanted to play it. To my relief one server was running it, deadclan. I joined their game, and it said CD is req. No prob, so I go and turn it on, come back. Says its also running model consistancy. No prob there either. I just copied my current NS folder over onto my desktop and reinstalled. Installed the map and set up my controls. I joined again and it says it needs constancy for pshell. I just installed the game without changing anything. Whats going on, can somone tell me please? I really wanna try out this map.

Second of all, are you running the Half-life high definition pack?
Usually it is a problem with the shotgun shell.
I think the NS installer takes the shotgun shell model from the valve folder, which means if you have the hl hd pack, then your shotgun shell is different than that of the servers.
Simply apply the 1.04 server patch and you'll be all fixed up.
I got it working...I think. I installed the patch, uninstalled the high def pack (I didnt like it anyways) so its good, probably. I just need to test it now.
Other than the Alien Queen Hive model, which removes one possible marine hiding spot... which has led to a few interesting posts that I've seen...
Also, imo, Cheating-Death is evil... if 1/2 the servers anymore didn't require it I wouldn't use it... their warning about it not being able to connect to VAC protected servers, and it "saving" you from a global ban, is because it would've caused that ban, because it runs [i would imagine] how many of the cheating scripts run...
Because you could be using a very brightly colored model, or a model with "spikes" or very long lines that protrude from the model.

ah, that I can see being a problem... hmm... dunno why i didn't realize that...
ah well... thankee
I hate how just a few socially constipated individuals (example: )can make it ten times more frustrating to make model replacements. And, in sufficient numbers, can completely trash the online community of an entire game / mod (CS anybody? Well... not that there was really that much to trash... but you get what I mean).
I would party all week if somebody on Capitol Hill would stop scheming up ways to weasel more money up for themselves long enough to introduce a law that would make cheating in online games the same as vandalism. Boy, I'd love to watch the OGC boards for a few days after something like that got passed... }|)
Stupid Everything!
Nah man they wont - the justice system has waaaayyyy more important and easier things to look after than a few 14 yr olds annoying the hell out of gamers.
The only way I can see legal action against cheats is when large businesses - VALVe, Blizzard, Activision etc realise just how much this is hurting their profits and lobby for change.
Then again, remember changes on Capitol Hill only affect Americans. I cant see a UN commission on hackers happening any time soon
