    1) 15 hives in ns 15 hives

    2)HMG has 150 bullets in clip with 225 display cap with actual max total being 300 I believe.

    3)25 lmg bullets per draw

    4)As far as my relative skill level to other players goes no.

    6)The last two marines used /stuck to teleport through the glass in the cockpit of nancy and have jetpacks and lmgs, being my adventerous and kill/death ratio fanatic self I use /stuck to teleport through glass leap and bite around and win whee.

    7)DVD Player

    8)In the event that the skulks are charging from long range at the marines chances are they will mostly all die but with carapace the skulks should win.
    In an ambush situation one skulk with carapace can win without 2 or 3 marines depending upon formation of squad.
    One skulk with celerity and carapace wins.

    I think it's more like 400, total of 550 counting clip. I'm pretty sure it's more than 300, because I am able to recieve ammunition from the armory more than once after reaching 225. Oh and the display cap is actually 255, and is an HL engine limitation as far as I know.

    A. Cargo hive. Easy to reach from marine base, and can defend 3 nodes with one TF.

    B. Probably differing opinions on this, but for me.
    Bast: Refinery. Bring on the JP rush(too open and hard to defend well from rush, and distant from other hives inviting a two hive lockdown scenario as well)
    Nancy: hard for this one, but I dislike noname, too distant from the other hives.
    Caged: Sewer, easy to rush, and not many RTs available nearby(vestible RT usually too risky)
    Eclipse: Maintenance. Easy to LMG rush from the top side, and also tall and open for JP rush
    Hera: Archiving most definately, long distance from processing means a marine rush to that location has high chance of success. Also no RTs to safely expand to(Closest RTs are either holoroom, and entrance and reception, both very risky)
    Tanith: they're all about equal, though I'd say satcom, since it's predictable where the gorge will go first (chem transport or whatever it is)

    C. Eclipse Hive: no siege, Id put them in the back hall area, with the overlooking railings, against the wall near the hive, so you can be healed while in the hive area while attacking, with sieges, probably somewhere around triad.
    Comp core: no siege, either the vent, or the room at the back entrance
    siege, south loop if we have maint, or the top of the ramp headed towards eclipse.
    Maint: no siege; the top area so attackers have height advantage, siege; south loop or maybe somewhere near keyhole.

    D: Gorge shouldn't be playing around in the water, so I wouldn't know

    E: There is no generator hive in Bast( hives are feedwater, engine, and refinery), nub

    F: No clue, gorge should be building DCs outside the base, but if he is attacking, babblers are more fun to use

    G: I couldn't redeem from fall damage, so I believe drowning wouldn't redeem you either

    A) Normally it's Cargo hive due to the 3 nodes, but Generator Room is also an excellent spot. Very easy to defend, allows quick access to 7 nodes, and a siege there can hit 2 of the 4 nodes on the lower level. It doesn't matter if the aliens get two hives when the marines have had three times the res for the whole round.

    B) Eclipse: Maintenance hive. It's laughably easy for marines to hold South Loop and Keyhole against uncarapaced skulks, and the hive can be easily shot or sieged.

    Nothing: Powersilo hive. No easy-to-hold res, the halls outside the hive are a skulk's nightmare, the hive can be easily sieged, very easy to spawncamp aliens, and a wonderful environment for jetpacks. Easily the worst hive in NS.

    Bast: Engine hive. No easy res, detached from the rest of the map, and only way out (other than vents) forces you to go through a likely marine relocation spot.

    Tanith: It's close, but I have to say Fusion hive. Cargo is easy for marines to hold, and the hive can be sieged from there.

    Nancy: Subspace hive. If you lose mother interface, it's over. Easiest hive in the game to siege.

    Caged: Generator hive. Your starting node can be killed relatively easily, and there's only 1 easy node to make up for it.

    Hera: I'd have to say Archiving. Although it puts you close to holoroom, your starting res is easy to kill and it's generally detached from the rest of the map.

    C) Comp core: In the vents behind the hive.
    Maintenance: Next to the wall in Keyhole, so skulks can heal in the hallway next to the hive.
    Eclipse: No great spots, but next to the hall between Triad and Eclipse hive isn't bad.

    D) I'm positive they can't healspray. I don't think they can spit, either.

    E) Generator = Engine? I've had great success hiding in sloped vent in Main Aft and ambushing marines as they pass. It's an unexpected spot.

    F) Nope. Works for a Phase Gate, though.

    G) I never use redemp, so I don't know.

    Generator room?

    Are you talking about ns_caged?

    Well if the ailens ahve the generator room and the marines relocate near the generator room (in the place some meters away from the res in by genreator, the marines can turret into the hive or by it and marine can rush the hive.

    The marine team won like twice when i did it. Either ailens f4ed or we won by elimination. I even got turrets in thir hive lol...

    Maybe someone should take a screenshot next time the mariens do that if they do and put a caption like (stipid gorge puts up hive in a defended base)

    No, I'm talking about the square room with the res node in between Cargo and Viaduct hives on ns_nothing. There's a bottomless pit in the center of the room.

    A) Cargo, there are three nearby res nodes that can be guarded by ONE TF easily.

    B) Tanith: Fusion, cargo is nearby. Nothing: Power, easy to kill with JPs. Hera: Vent, relocate to processing will be hard to get around to from vent, not data. Caged: Generator, the res nodes are really close to their mains, and the hive is in a terrible position. Bast: Ref, very easy to kill with jp/hmg...

    C) Outside each hives corridor around the corner, its the same for them all. Have ample guard though.

    D) Yes, No.

    E) There is no generator on bast.

    F) Nope..not that I know of. Unless it has a cooldown.

    H) Best skulk...hmm...probably the one that saves his res and evolves into onos as soon as he can.

    A) Obviously the favorite spot for marines to relocate is the cargo hive due to its easy defensibility and ability to cover three resource nozzles at once while also depriving aliens of a hive. In some circles ns_nothing is known as ns_rushtocargo.

    B) Eclipse - Maintenance is the easy for marines on foot to rush and lockdown the spawn and also a hive that is easy to jetpack, while providing no truly secure location for foward defense chambers to assist in reclaiming the hive.

    Tanith - By a moderate margin this would be the fusion reactor, due to the commonness of a marine relocation to the cargo bay which is difficult to defend against unless your team is waiting for the rush and is very hard to retake due to the openness and low cover in cargo bay. On the other hand Satellite Comm is very jet pack friendly.

    Caged- None of the hives on this map are really that bad, but possibly the worst would be Ventilation due to the multiple vents for jetpacks to come through and the openness of the hive

    Bast- Obviously this is the dreaded refinery hive of death, a jet pack playground with three different entrances to cover and nooks up in the rafts and on the floor where a marine can sneak and build. This is the worst hive in the game due to the three entrances, two of them being large enough to be difficult to block, and jetpacking this hive is child's play.

    Nancy- No hives really stick out here, but the worst would Subspace array due to three entrances plus the vent on the roof is problematic for a gorge to get to and block against a jetpack attack.

    Hera- Questionable, but I would go for Ventilation due to jetpack ease also marines on foot have a relatively easy time spawn camping and gorge must either get a boost into the vent to processing or expand towards the marine spawn to start with.

    C) Computer Core- Obviously the best place for this is the vent right behind the hive, the marines need either jetpacks or a siege cannon to take this spot and skulks can launch raids into comp core while being healed through the wall, this harassment can be highly effective and significantly delay marine advance to another hive and allow time for a counter attack

    Eclipse- Drop some dchambers in the vent by triad gen and use it to destroy the marine node there or launch attacks against eclipse while providing secure healing, once again marines need jetpacks or siege or they can attempt grenade launcher bouncing

    Maintenace- The best spot I have found is dchambers mixed with o chambers at the very bottom of the hive concealed by the bridges overhead with a few defense chambers a skulk can easily overcome any non ha marine that attempts to destroy these and it is easy to quickly attack marine structures and retreat for healing

    D) Heal spray no, spit yes. Although spit doesn't do much good against the swimming ha brandishing his knife about.

    E) Silly me meant to say caged not bast. But anyway, if one is faced with the wonderful scenario of having to stop four marines attempting to relocate to generator alone and without carpace here is what I would do. At the top of the generator hive there are rafters that can effectively conceal you even from a marine standing on the side slopes while still allowing you to see and hear marines coming into the hive. Once they will generally drop a structure near the back wall allowing which you can easily drop on to from your superior tactical position.

    Always let them start building first before you attack because this gives you vaulable extra seconds due to their distraction, weapon come back up delay, and the sounds of them building can cover your initial movement. Hopefully due to the long distance from any possible entrance you will have 2 or 3 marines building with the rest covering the door. Drop down preferablly beside not on top of one of the builders and kill instantly due to suprise quickly kill the other builder and then depending on where the cover fire marines are either dance around the building using it to waste bullets or just hide behind the building and wait for them to rush or back away, if they rush using the building for cover you should be able to kill them, if they back away start screaming for help on voice comm and see if your team can actually be bothered to help you out for once.

    F) Offense chambers do not prevent marines from spawning, they just spawn on top of the o chamber

    G) It is not possible to drown with redemption

    I must disagree. Generator hive has its starting res in stability, which is an easy kill for rushing marines. And, if capable rines, they can cover the doorway from the hive to stability while they build an armory for mine rush. Done and seen it many, many times.

    Yes I have seen this before and even won a game where they destroyed our starting res nozzle, but this rush is easily countered by a few capable skulks, although if your team runs willy nilly all over the place and ignores the possibility of this attack then generator is a worse hive.

    Generator room. It is far superior to the limited Cargo Hive reloc. Hopefully not many will realise this. Gen room gives access to twice as many nodes, let you siege 4 nodes, cuts off Alien access to the upper level (just need to hold the cargo vent) and basically controls the whole map.

    Up on the railing. Under the grates is good but the marines will see you coming when you attack. From teh railing syou can drop down while they build.

    A) Boo relocation

    B) ns_bast - refinery or engine (jetpack hive, pretty easy to contain as marines.
    ns_caged - sewer (easy to spawn camp, easy to JP)
    ns_eclipse - toss up (each have their dissadvatanges)
    ns_hera - vent 3c (super easy to jetpack)
    ns_nancy - subspace (jetpacks again)
    ns_nothing - powersilo! (nuff said)
    ns_tanith - waste or sat comm (both wide open)

    C) eclipse - probably the vent in triad
    comp core - psj3 to cc vent
    maint - if the marines are stupid under the walkways.

    D) What version? ;D

    E) wouldnt say there is a best spot since there are so damn many.
