<div class="IPBDescription">Comparison on server amounts.</div> I'm just curious about this, and could even be a good question. Will their be more 1.04 servers than 2.0, or vice versa? I think their will be more 1.04 servers then 2.0. <img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'>

For some deep feeling I highly doubt their will be more 2.0 servers then 1.04.

I would expect only a few 1.04 servers to remain, if any.

There <i>might</i> be 8-10 1.04 servers left up and running for the first few days after 2.0 releases. After about a week, there will be like 3 or 4 and only because the server owner is on vacation to somewhere very distant and is sipping a nice cool drink on a white sand beach not worrying about what version ns is on his/her server for the moment.

Along the way the game didnt change too much but as they say 2.0 will be totaly different so I bet 1.04 will rule 2.0 because of marines difference or people will go back to CS <img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'> (That wouldnt be a bad thing)

I sincerely doubt many of us will be sad to see 1.04 go. The changes to 2.0 will be fresh and new, and I for one can't wait on it without cracking much longer. *crack* ...... damn.

Anyway, why would 1.04 be in a majority? Its not like 1.0 still dominates because people like it more or something, or 1.02 servers exist in places. 1.04 dominates because it is the best current build, and 2.0 will dominate when it proves that it is the best build.

Why would you think 1.04 would stick around? What about it is better?

According to ASE there is ONE yes, ONE 1.03 server remaining. BUt the difference between 1.03 and 1.04 is a bunch of bugs and exploits and staying at that version was kind of useless and abunch of whining followed. I know The United Kharra Toothpick Association says on its MOTD. We will stay 1.04. 1.04 is a good game and so will be 2.0, but its like CS. some servers still work with 1.03 bhopping.

Um, as 2.0 is the most recent version, and it is better then 1.04 in every way, I do think there will be all 2.0 servers and no 1.04 servers.

2.0 uses 50% less resources or more -- so I'd say 2.0 will have a lot more less laggy servers <img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'>

I think what he means to ask is whether you think there will be less servers for NS in the 2.0 era, than there were in the 1.04 era. I'd say there will be more 2.0 servers cause the CPU usage is less, which means some server companies will finally be willing to run/sell NS servers. In 1.0x, a British server company didn't want to sell NS servers cause of the CPU usage.

I just cant believe a thread like this was actually concieved. There is no question; 2.0 will be better in EVERY respect of gameplay...why would anyone WANT to have less fun? I don't understand.

Honestly, 2.0 is much-much more balanced and fun then 1.04
1.04 just remind's me of HMG/JP rushe's and hive restrictions.

ahh if that's what he means then i see where he's going. But i still think the same is true about 2.0 servers popping up. It's to do with knowing about the mod. ALOT of people i know have never heard of ns. I'd been in the mod community long before i'd heard of ns and i came upon it by chance since someone mentioned it to me. With the PR Blitz i think it'd be hard for any mod watchers to not see NS 2.0 on the front of a mod page. i'm surprised i never saw media for such a great game as this on a site rather than learning about it from a friend. I'm sure however that alot of people will find out about NS and then servers will pop up like weeds.

I see what hes saying, hes implying that there IS a great diffrence between 2.0 and 1.05. And as most people know some people dont like change or it wont alpy to them and 1.04 will be fine with all the new changed in 2.0 pushing them away. I agree there will problay be some 1.04 servers but not more then 2.0 but there will be a quite a few.
