Ok, we all understand it's comming out on the 31st; however, any ideas at what time of what part of the world (TimeZone?). Is it comming out on midnight at a particular timezone, or just some time in the day of the 31st?

    Flayra is Eastern Standard Time... if I recall correctly, 1.0 was released around 4pm EST, just in time for the release party that night at the Adrenaline Zone in Boston. While there will be a similar party at AZ for 2.0, I don't know when the client will be available for download exactly.

    Hmmm...I think we can do this.

    If I open a small warp hole in the space time continum, we can pull the 2.0 release towards us. But be warned, this mission, if you choose to accept it, will be highly dangerous...*mission impossible music* <!--emo&::marine::--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/marine.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='marine.gif'><!--endemo--> The warp rift can only be open for a small amount of time, there for the release could be lost forever in the continum.

    Dont do it dumbas.

    I don't want to end up the **** of some horny male XEN creature!
    Its going to be like that episode of Star Trek TNG were Data had to close the rift in the space time continueum with the anti matter.
    I don't want a second or a third me!
    1 is all I can handle!
    Or it might end up like When Gabe from penny arcade opened the rift in the space time continueum to go back to the 80's and get cool 80's swank!

    Yes, I'm making new rats maps, but I think I'm going to port them over to HL2. I'm unsure about the popularity of HL1's DM players ratio, since most of them will be going to HL2.

    I'm also working on an NS level, which is taking some time out of my rat making--but that's ok because I want to wait for the HL2 SDK.

    Thanks for the support <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->

    releases very rarely arrive at a very precise time. Apart from highly-anticipated, programmed mass releases such as the PS2 release in Japan.

    Blasphemy!! NS2.0 is much more "highly-anticipated" than a stupid console!
    (at least by me <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->)

    programmed mass release meaning it has been shipped and ready much before the released, highly anticipated because it's not just an average say CD that can't be obtained at the same time in all shops.

    For the PS2 the release is more symbolical than real because it could have been released quite a while before it has been.

    The earlier on the day the better, if the euro's are downloading in the EU mid afternoon and US morning while a lot of the US players are still at work/in bed (lazybones!), it spreads out much better than the entire world trying to download at once in the US afternoon and the EU evening.

    My being in the EU timezone had nothing to do with this suggestion ;D
