yes all this effort elite guard is putting in and no admins r stickying this very useful topic <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo-->
Updated map 'ns_cliffhanger_b1' to version b2 download. Updated map 'ns_mazefight_b6' to version 'medium' download. Updated map 'ns_midas44_v3' to version v6 download.
Somebody realy need to sticky this, AGAIN. This is a great service here. It helps the players. It helps the server operators. I think that means it benifits the whole NS community. What could possibly be the reasoning for not doing so?
Updated map 'ns_2fortsb5' to version b6 download. Updated map 'ns_colony_beta9' to version v1 download. Updated map 'ns_longjump03' to version 04 download. Updated map 'ns_mazefight_medium' to version 'rare' download. (ns_mazefight_medium_rare)
Added map 'ns_60seconds_b1' to list with download. Added map 'ns_elimination' to list with download. Updated map 'ns_conquer02' to version 03 download.
WELL I THINK we should all congradulate Elite on his post!!!!
this should be one of the bolded posts
is that waht "sticky" means?
anywasy the website is great casue it hosts the map but...
maybe you can post 1 screenshot of each map on it so people know what it looks liek before they download...
it may take you a long time running and finding a good screenshot of each map but that way more popel can see what each map is like and to see what is a good map to download...
the screenshot is easier then to write a review
you ahve a review link on teh maps but i dotn think most of them ahve reviews...
good job though
and do you give us permission to use the url of a map to put on our signatuires so we can promote a map we made?

But seriously, a lot of time and patience is the key.
Elite you sould add a small screen of each map and a rating, sumthing like this...
Looks: 10 Layout:8 Lighting: 9 Serious game play: -999 Fun Game Play: 10
or sumthing like that... and don't put an overall rating... <!--emo&::nerdy::--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/nerd.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='nerd.gif'><!--endemo-->
Agreed, alot of time went into makin that site/finding maps/plugins/models! At least you could give it a sticky! <!--emo&:0--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/wow.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='wow.gif'><!--endemo-->
If you have any skillz in teh advertising sector u would kno...
An error in a add will cause a person to look at and think about teh error *think about teh product* and think of him/herself as more superior because they found the error. Thus making them think about teh product even more! And that is why i have made a retarded link that catches attention and you people click it!!! <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo-->
Elite Guard, good work on this list, i used the thread myself to download maps quickly, very useful. I hope it will be stickyed, keep it up.
However, may i suggest you to break the list in two; a fun map category and a serious map category. It will help admins that want to run a custom map server, so if he want a serious map cycle he doesnt have to check all those damn funmaps one by one, etc. Same for someone that wants only fun maps.
It's just a suggestion and maybe someone even already said it in the thread (no, i didnt read the 16 pages of replies <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo--> ) if so i'm sorry.
GoPeDeRiCk & Droggog - The topic has been brought up before where someone tried making a rating of each map, and grouping them as 'serious' or 'fun'. But it only led to debates over how the grading was done and what the definition of a 'fun' map was. And mappers complaining how they felt their map was unfairly given a bad rating or how people didn't think their map deserved being called a 'fun' map because it just barely didn't qualify as a serious map. The best solution is simply to play the maps and decide if they are good or not for yourself.
