AND YOU WILL NOT GET A RIGHT CLICK MENU THAT WORKS
to get around this you will ahve to bind keys to every upgrade evolution saying and the eject comm button if you want to use the game right but feel free and try it it doesnt realy help much
so try direct 3d runs fine if you set the res low on an older card

My friend, its time to spend the 100 bucks and get a really nice 64mb card.

You must have an older computer, what are the comp specs?
Based on that card, I would say you have a Pentium 2 with 64mbs of 133 ram. if thats the case, no Video card will be able to help you out.
Go and buy one of the new dell total Systems for 500 bucks, this will bring you into the new century.
Dell will give you everything; Monitor, speakers, video and sound cards, key board, mouse, and a computer that can handle games like NS.
If I am wrong, I still feel sorry for that 8mb card.
I dont think this guy needs monitor, speakers, keyboard and mouse, in addition i dont think he needs a new HDD, CD(DVD)-ROM and such things, he just needs new graphic card (and maybe new board and processor and memory). Or maybe if his card is some cool oldskool Voodoo accelerator he just needs some new processor and memories (to play NS).
That card was pure pwnage.
Well beat this:
My video card isnt compatible with Direct 3d OR openGL. And software mode won't run at all. So i run it i Direct3d at 640 *480, knowing that a popup will crash the server and that the menu (as in "resume game," "disconnect" etc) will crash my game as well. It's also too blurrry to see much, to the point where you have to look at the surrounding walls instead of the signs to see which team you're joining! But other than that it runs pretty smoothly. <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo-->

I was saying, before that in North America, DELL computer comp. Is selling off all of there older stuff!
You can get a <b>FULL</b> computer system with EVERYTHING included for 500 bucks. Most people make that a pay cheque, some of us lucky ones make that a week and other still make even more than that. Minus bills and expenses and 500 bucks should be easy to save up in about 2 months tops if your really strapped for cash.
You can buy a New DELL FULL SYSTEM and get into the new century!

My Vid Card is the latest GEFORCE FX5900 256 mb i have a 3.6ghz processor, and a big 21 inch monitor, my res can woop urs i put it all on highest D3D or GL settings and still v high fps over 200 LOL u can never beat that LOL

You have the computer I want, but I plan to wait a few more months till Pentium comes out with the next big JUMP the last one was the 3.0 800mhz FSB which is better than your 3.06. and no you don't have a 3.6 you have a 3.06.
I am going to wait till the 4.50 is out or something like that, then I can feel asured that I will have a comp of Server power!
Or I might just end up getting a Dual 3.0 with 800mhz once they come out with a MB that can hadle something like that!

2 Majin - i can run Doom 3 (the E3 demo) at 50 fps with high details <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo-->, but it uses loads of memory, i have 512MB RAM + 1GB swap file and i ran out of virtual memory while playing this Doom 3 version 0.02 (yea, its really 0.02 <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo--> ) , i think the full version will be more optimized
