The elevator leads to the corridors area near a Hive.

Well all the shots from now till end are fromk the corridors near one Hive. It has the basic things only, it still needs more work but....

    How do you activate the elevator?  I don't see any buttons.

    keep working, it looks good, i like that broken pipe <!--emo&:D--><img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':D'><!--endemo--> but i think the lighting in some corridors needs a little tweaking and some contrast, well, i like dark corridors <!--emo&;)--><img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=';)'><!--endemo-->

    If you build some rails on that elevator, you could add a small control box on the rail, and put a func_door in the same spot the control box is, texture it }BLUE, set it SOLID 1 (or 255, for you people that for some reason think it HAS to be 255), make it passable and use-only, and make it activate the lift.

    Put one each of these doors, in the top and bottom positions of the lift (you could make it just one door entity, really).

    This way, the controls seem to be mounted on the lift, rather than that old chestnut of having the controls mounted on the wall of the lift-shaft at the top and bottom.

    Of course, don't forget to put a set of controls in the hallway at the top and bottom, too, so people can call the lift to their level if it's not already there.

    im sorry, but i did a 25% brightness on them cause i couldnt see anything, the area is very dark so.....

    blueman: do you have photoshop? because it would make it a lot easier to see the details if the shots were properly gamma-adjusted rather than washed-out as they are.

    i have photoshop 6. i put a 20% brightness/constrast so they get lighter. wut do you mean?

    hombre azúl, your architecture is good but your lighting is repetetive. Try changing some colors around or put in some holograms.

    blueman: in the mapping forum faq it will give you a forumla for adjusting the gamma of screenshots to make them look closer to what they look like in-game with env_gamma adjustment.
