<div class="IPBDescription">will my custom files be Over written?</div> WHen 2.0 COmes out am i going to have to re install all of my custom models, sounds, and sprites?

With the older updates i didint have to worry about it but now that they are changing the nade launcher and several sprites, are my custom ones going to be over written?

    models, yes probably as (i think) all of them have new anims or something.

    Do what I do. Back them up. Or just copy your ns folder, then nitpick out what you want to keep when 2.0 comes out.

    well the mutalisk will work hopefully, it wont be released till after 2.0 sadly as its bein a lil poo on skinmeshnig the face.

    I believe 2.0 will be a full download - 100MB or so, replacing EVERYTHING.

    So yes.

    Additionally, most of your models will no longer work correctly with 2.0! Many abilities, animations, and other elements have been altered.

    o will they just not work because thos eabilities dont exist anymore? YOu can still use th emodel... just you have to make no animes and stuff right?

    It'd be a simple matter updating custom models to 2.0, as long as extra bones haven't been added, you can simply drop the new animation sequences and smds over the old .qcs and you're done. I'm probably gonna be using the defaults for a while though anyway (new GL is definitely a keeper <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo--> ), but I'll be updating all my schtuff in a couple weeks or so, so stay tuned.

    NOOOOooo all my beloved high poly weapons, and skins, and models and ahhh. How many of you awsome people out there besides jeager are really going to update the animations for all of your great work?

    Can someone please fill me in on WHY old animations wont work with 2.0? It doesnt make sense to me. Also.. apparently P models will now need a reload animation...

    TheFrag, the reason why is that, well, lets say the reload animation on the LMG has been sped up a bit(don't know if it has...oh well), well, when you go to reload, the animation would be too long, so when you finished reloading actually, the animation would still be going, so you wouldn't know.

    Heres the easy way:

    Before you install NS 2.0, rename your current NS folder as NS1.0 or OLDNS or something. Then install normally and it doesnt overwrite your custom stuff. Then copy it over as desired, and delete whats left of the old version.

    Or at least thats what i do...

    If anything, there better be three models that didn't change. The LMG, Pistol, and Knife. I just need to keep my uber leet basic items, and then I'll be able to hold out till some conversions and such are made. Buildings can't be changed...right?

    yeah--- bu tyou can just lower or raise the fps on the animation in the qc file..... So thats all thats needed to be converted o_O

    Incorrect. Buildings can be changed easily. I have black-coloured marine buildings.
