<div class="IPBDescription">ns_bast</div> Heres the backstory behind our game = relocated to cargo and capped 6 rts (including those in cargo) I then set up some base turrets and sent my marines running all over the place (told them to go rambo) We managed to kill the gorge 2 times (effects of an entire team ramboing) and we were getting upgrades and the such.
I then built up a sufficient amount of res (around 80 or so) and had 2 guys fly above viaduct and dropped a PG/TF/3 Turrets then waited for some more res and dropped 2 Siege and from there we saw big explosions and one less hive.
That worked splendid for us, also its out in the open and hive up so lerk spikes = not going to work and skulks = hard to get up and while they do they are getting shot at.
I imagine the could have gone better/worse but in the end we couped them up in powersilo and rushed with 5 jp/hmg. Ignoring everything else, Sending the rines to rambo has been a good strategy for me. After one guy sees the gorge I give them all wps to whereever the gorge and slaughter it. Really slows down the aliens.

But...
Everybody relocates to cargo.
Then everybody sieges from red room.
Then everybody rushes powersilo.
Unless, of course, the initial hive is cargo.
And one last thing. The map is ns_nothing. ns_nothingbutmarinevictories.
ns_nothing has so many RT's you can have everyone with enough res to fade for as soon as the second hive goes up (hopefully thats silo hive) and fades will just blink up onto the bridge and r0x0r your b0x0rs!
You can't get a fade in redroom, which is why marines pick there (and why you lame it up as soon as you have the resflow for a second gorge
i saw it was gonna happen and got myself up to the bridge and gorged - dropped a dc and just hid up there.
you cant shoot up there very well at all, so the marines were going to have to get jps and fly up there to get me, or siege the dc out from under me.
After about 10-15 mins i jumped off
Actually reloc to cargo isn't very effective and usually ends with a slow loss for Marines when I play. Aliens chomp old MB then contain Marines to Cargo (3 nodes), attacking the RT's and stalling for time to get the 2:nd hive up.
Everyone was dead except for him, he build a PG & all the marines went through & were standing on the rails blowing the crap out of everything, the TF, 2 <!--emo&::sentry::--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/turret.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='turret.gif'><!--endemo--> built at each end to make sure the <!--emo&::skulk::--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/skulk.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='skulk.gif'><!--endemo--> or <!--emo&::lerk::--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/lerk.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='lerk.gif'><!--endemo--> scums died, <!--emo&::siege::--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/siege.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='siege.gif'><!--endemo-->'s were built & everything was blown to hell, Marine won obviously by the Talented Commanding of Drewbar99 <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo-->
