And btw, this is a totally unofficial video and only got the go ahead to release because Flayra made a little slip up.

Lux did a nice job, and the video looks fine. I'm not sure if this is the final version, or if it was even suppose to be public, but enjoy. I'll explain where each part is, the first half is the new hera, the first part with the skulk is outside the marine start on the way to cargo and you can see the marine blood. The next part is on the hera launch pad, where you can walk on now, and you can see a battle take place (jpers, gorges, lerks, and a fade). The last part is on origin with HA getting attacked by cloaked onos.

For an 4 hour effort, it's fine, but I'm actually with Glide and his blunt "glad it's not official" on this one. It's too dark, the O Fortuna is overused and too epic for the content of the video, gameplay scenes are a jumble of bullets flying and players zooming around. I have to ask, how am I supposed to be more wiser or more impressed about the 2.0 gameplay after seeing this video? It's a nice vid, but to a complete newcomer I'd say it looks a bit confusing and chaotic while to a 1.04 player it doesn't look all that revolutionary as it doesn't really showcase the new stuff in 2.0.
It looks like what it is: a good fan vid. However, the filename and the title state that it is the Natural Selection 2.0 Trailer. Filename even mentions that it's the final version. I wonder if all gaming sites are aware this isn't official?
In order to avoid some flames, I want to stress that I understand the problems concerning the release of this vid and that it isn't official. I'm just a little worried that it may be seen as official after it gets into circulation and trying to tell how I would feel if I saw this vid under the impression that this is the official trailer of 2.0

After helping him learn avi encoding for a few hours and providing a few types pages of suggestions on how to make it better or closer to NS-team quality levels, his response was to be thin-skinned and release it without making any fixes. It's all about ego here and nothing about helping NS, as you can tell from the oversized, lengthy credits and general backstabbing behavior.
If anyone finds this on external websites listed as an official trailer, let me know so I can contact the sites and have them re-word it. The titles are very confusing, and the music is illegally-used material, both of which make us liable for our second visit from copyright lawyers in 3 months.
It needed more camera views, and things went to fast.
Hmm, been wondering...

When you incorporate music in any project, especially videos, when would you have to be cautious about copyrights? I've never thought that the people who make anime music videos have ever had to worry about that, and there are TONS of AMVs. Hmm, maybe I'll make an inquiry over at their forums.

You have to be careful pretty much everytime - without permission from the owner of the music, or paying royalty fees, you are setting yourself up for liability. With the RIAA looking for scapegoats and blood these days, there is no such thing as being too careful. They are trying to find examples to be made of people.
And lux, there is nothing you can do to embarrass me. Feel free to spew; I'll be happy to repost every email and PM we exchanged, I log everything. It will let me finally convince Flay to ban you forever from the community the way you deserve, backstabber.
There's nothing in the trailer that says it is UNofficial either. From inference, it looks entirely official in its titles, due to you wording as 'NS 2.0 Trailer'.

There there.
no where in the movie does it say official at anytime or has ANY association to the NS team.
I dont want to publicly embarass monse on these forums (or get banned) so I will keep quiet.
