Cd 4.0 Dont Work :o

L 07/22/2003 - 15:28:58: FATAL ERROR (shutting down): Couldn't allocate dedicated server IP port

server running for 5 min and after wont come up.

Anyone else get this problem?

Gentoo, HLDS 3.1.1.0

dont have the problem on Rethad 9 - HLDS 3.1.1.0

didnt try the slackware one.

    yes, but when i killed it the next session had the same problem after 5 minutes or something.

    Comment out C-D and try again.

    I'm running CD 4.0.0 and my server runs fine (still crashes tho cause of turret spam <!--emo&:(--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/sad.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='sad.gif'><!--endemo--> )

    I am running CD 4.0 also without any problems.

    I find that when updating plugins, sometimes when you overwrite they get corrupt. First delete the old CD and the copy your new one.

    A related tip: overwriting a running/loaded plugin is asking for trouble. Shut down HLDS, copy the new version into place, start HLDS.
