<!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo--> Well i am a pretty good CS map maker but with NS its kinda new to me, <!--emo&::nerdy::--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/nerd.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='nerd.gif'><!--endemo--> . I have a realy awsome idea for a map and i keep getting these errors but i cant figure out why:
Warning: === LEAK in hull 0 ===
Entity func_resource @ ( 0,1376, 0)
Error:
A LEAK is a hole in the map, where the inside of it is exposed to the
(unwanted) outside region. The entity listed in the error is just a helpful
indication of where the beginning of the leak pointfile starts, so the
beginning of the line can be quickly found and traced to until reaching the
outside. Unless this entity is accidentally on the outside of the map, it
probably should not be deleted. Some complex rotating objects entities need
their origins outside the map. To deal with these, just enclose the origin
brush with a solid world brush
Warning: === LEAK in hull 1 ===
Entity info_team_start @ (-128,1088, 48)
Warning: === LEAK in hull 2 ===
Entity info_team_start @ ( 384,1088, 48)
Warning: === LEAK in hull 3 ===
Entity info_team_start @ (-128,1088, 48)
If anyone knows how to fiz this PLZ reply. thanks <!--emo&::asrifle::--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/asrifle.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='asrifle.gif'><!--endemo--> <!--emo&::onos::--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tiny.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tiny.gif'><!--endemo--> <!--emo&::marine::--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/marine.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='marine.gif'><!--endemo-->

Or search *this* forum. There have been a few discussions about leaks <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->
He has a problem and look for help so don't tell him to go to hell....
You are at the right place, this is a NS mapping forum so here we are. Noone get upset about the stupid fun map that everybody can do in a second, so why get mad at him?
If you have a leak, there is no difference with CS, you have to make around your entity so that it doesnt leak anymore. One way to find those leaks is to make a huge box around the leaking room, and when it works then you found the leaking room, and then a box around the walls..... go by elimination...

Sorry, Goog.
Learn politness, and kindness and stop being aggressive all the time, because I'm sure that one day you will also be the idiot of someone else.
Scott is right, people only talk about themselves on this forum lately, and don't even answer to other people questions.
I personnaly don't look at all the old answers too because I have a 56K and that would take too long, but Yes I use google a lot.

Both of these places have some good resources and have forums more suited to discussion regarding generic HL mapping problems such as this.
And I don't always want to say: Read this FAQ thread and come back afterwards so I think of something else like er... get out of here you bloody newb and search for it. I mean: the mapping guidelines are a must read. And after reading alot of forum spam would not be created. Would you say it should be moved further up in the FAQ and highlited some more? I know when I want to find answers quickly I sometimes don't have the coolness to scroll through an FAQ to *maybe* find something of use. And then I would think: What does a forum FAQ got to do with LEAKs???
Sort of. This is an NS mapping forum, and as such it's for NS mapping. If you have a generic HL question like "how do I make doors work" it's better to look for a tutorial (of which there are many) or try forums of HL editing sites like Valve-ERC.
Although I agree with you that flaming is uncalled for and should not be happening.
I just made my first map and I shown it to snarkpit forum and as an answer I had something like "Why do you map for NS, it's for the best mapper, you should give up mapping", do you think that is a way to motivate people to map? Would you say that in the real life? If so you are a jerk.
That's my opinion :-)
I think that this mapping forum is too general and there is too many messages per day, so people don't get time to answer -- and we are spammed with some fun map, that are no fun at all. Do you really consider Mario bross map like NS map? I don't and those map shouldn't be published on this forum
I await your opinion about that.
an entity in the void or in a wall
a tiny gap between two walls even though you thought it was all aligned <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->
or you have a corner and you carved out some stuff to place a detailed object there. This can result in hard to find mini-leaks.
Have you already read the threads about leak-finding?
Or have you even found these entities with the methods mentioned there? Maybe you used the big block method and left an entity inside one of these blocks?
