It isn't fastswitch, it's the flashlight
In the "It is balanced, but does it feel right" thread, the PTs and Vets speak of using fastswitch to fill up their pistols and primary weapons faster. While this does provide a small boost, rapidly toggling your flashlight while getting ammo accelerates it to blinding spped, allowing you to fill your grenade launcher in 3 ticks. I was under the impression that the Devs were aware of this bug, but I guess not!

edit: nevermind. MonsE informed my that Flayra and Co. have known about this bug! Carry on!

Your impression was right, and i believe its been removed. It is also a bannable exploit in almost all the 1.04 servers, so good luck contiueing with NS

However, thanks for enlightening everyone who didn't know about it. It's really great that everyone knows how to exploit things like this...

Fastswitch is so negligible, I could care less if Flay fixes that one in time for 2.0.

It's not like it's any big deal.

Oh here we go, another exploit debate.

Just remember kids, the majority of server admins that ban for this can't ALL be wrong ...

Better that everyone knows about an exploit than only a few. If only a few know about it, people can get away with it. If everyone knows about it, it will be fixed, probably made bannable on most servers, and everyone can keep an eye out for exploiters.

More information is better than less information. Knowing about cheats and exploits helps admins to prevent them, and helps players help admins to do so.

The flashlight bug we knew about the day we released that version of NS - it came up at the last moments of testing. That one was well known.
