    1.0 released about 20:00 GMT, which is 15:00 EST (I think).

    It will be during that day, not at the stroke of midnight. It really depends more on our mirror admins' timeliness than anything else, to be honest.

    A supa-dupa easy way to do it is to look at your board settings for time and compare EST to whatever time zone your in.

    Is it possible to be a mirror site for the download?
  • Ph0enixPh0enix Join Date: 2002-10-08 Member: 1462Members, Constellation
    PM/e-mail MonsE about it.

    Which is why it'd be better if it was released in the night, so that some people had the chance to download before the middle of the day. Although I doubt NS is going to kill every major fileserver like CS updates do, it can still stress them quite a bit I imagine.

    No, no, no, no, NO!

    We need an exact time so that we can prepare for 2.0!

    Whatever time you choose to release it, I will be up. 12AM EST is just fine for me, because that would be 8am GMT.

    Enougth of your vaguearities old man! (i don't care if vaguarities isn't a real word)

    We need a time! We need a time! We need a time! e.t.c.k

    Join teh revolution!

    Remember time is subjective <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo-->

    Does it matter if there's a slow trickle of downloads then a big rush or vice versa ?

    What does make sense is that people are on hand to sort out any possible problems, which basically means when Flay, MonsE and Co are going to be awake.

    Which shockingly enough, would be during the day EST time <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->

    Also, IIRC more than one website was taken down because they didn't have enough bandwidth to cope with d/ls. It took me a good 15-20 minutes to find a good download on the night.

    I said it will be released at 9:10am, I used a simply math equation to work it out, but i've forgotten what it was <!--emo&:(--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/sad.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='sad.gif'><!--endemo-->
