By the time you finished fortifying your third node with 4 turrents, you'll watch an umbra cloud appear around your little fort, skulks leaping in and munching on the hapless marines, and all your structures vanish as bilebombs do their work. GG.

Apparently onos is slower than rines so therefore perhaps u can run away and shoot them from a distance.
And now fades will die after a single lmg clip which sounds a bit overpowered to me but maybe i missin sumthin. I just luv how fades wont be acid spam with acid moved to third hive, it will encourage melee fun.
But i must say shotties sound damn tempting from wat ive read.
Yes, it seems to me that in v2.0 fades and Onos not so powerful anymore. Here some stats using Damage Simulator NS v2.0

Early on, I imagine that simply hopping eletric RTs across the map will be surprisingly effective. After all, players are slow to pick up changes, so I doubt we'll find half the alien team going gorge, or the skulks getting support before tackling electrified RTs... And without quite a few gorgies, res flow will likely be very slow for the aliens (especially if the marines upgrade a bit), preventing large numbers of higher evolves from wiping out the RTs.
Of course, this will only work for a few days, tops. On decent servers, anyways.

I was actually thinking the opposite, as with small games it's a quick run to either second hive or fades, and then the res nodes are no longer secure.
However, no matter what, I bet, if you jump in the comm first day and are half decent, res hopping will win you your first game of 2.0 (assuming you're not playing a bunch of vets, of course).
Comments
Set up bases at res nodes and dominate the resources. Lots of forward siege bases and more HA, like it used to be when games were fun.
