<div class="IPBDescription">Can't get into 1.6 CS</div> I'm having trouble with Steam 2.0. I download it, and make an account and everything. Then when I tried to join a game, it updated it normally, then after it was done, it goes to that, "Starting Counter-Strike" box or whatever. Then, it tries to boot up, but goes to desktop. What's the deal?

    Did you try rebooting? Mine does this all the time, a restart always fixes all.

    I have no idea why I'm hearing so many folks lately getting Steam errors. I've heard at least 2 today, already!

    I downloaded Steam during the first beta-it's worked fine for me ever since. From time to time, I get long load times on certain servers that I'm sure many might mistake for 'not working.' otherwise, I've heard of no other bugs other than Steam 'freezing up.'

    when you posted you were talking about CS 1.6 ive been wondering whats going on with that, like has it been released, because i hear people talking about it and ive seen various different tools for CS such as Server mods and what not, but i havnt actually seen 1.6, anyone kno what the deal is on it?

    Just go to <a href='http://www.fileshack.com' target='_blank'>Fileshack</a> and get the Steam beta. It's the #2 most popular download (on the right side of the main screen). You'll need to sign up for an account, but it's free, quick, and relatively painless <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->

    Just download Steam, make a Steam account, and it will take care of all the updates. When it installs the 1.6 beta, it doesn't replace 1.5, so you won't have to worry about that.
