I thought flayra said that it would be for a couple of days, but 5 mins later its back up?

    i heard on irc that the fiber optics line that the forums are on was brought down, so the little backup server was put up and the load of 2.0-wanter forum ppl were killing the tiny amount of bandwidth that the backup server had so they simply shut down the forum till the fiber optic line was back up.

    BTW ive been hearin alot about irc. What is it? Some sort of chat program? Im no nub at comps, but can someone put up a link to an irc program so i can chat with people in the natural-selection chats plz? THX

    Supposedly the forums were shut down to lighten the load on the site for when the server/client releases come out. Why they're back up now I have no idea but I wouldn't count on them staying that way.

    Like said before, this is probably just their back-up forum server. Thats why is so slow (and its probably VERY crowded right now). They took down the main ones to support the site and (maybe?) get some of their own mirrors up.
