Yes I am dialup (for now) so you will have to forgive me
But this error "NET_SendPacket ERROR: WSAEINTR" keeps coming up ALOT and kicks me out of NS, which is frustrating especially when i am onos or comm.
Does anyone know how to reduce this or make it go away.
Cheers

Please help us!
CPU - P4 1.7Ghz
Sound - Audigy
Graphic Card - GeForce 4 440 MX 64MB
OS - Xtra Penus (XP)
on OpenGL 1024 x 768
I will just be in a game, and it will usually freeze momentarily and then kick me out saying NET_SendPacket ERROR: WSAEINTR. I usually get rid of this by killing HL with the task manager.
Dont think I am running EAX
USing Half Life client
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I've been told that disabling my IPX will get rid of it. I've tried that, (or at least I think I disabled it) and it still doesn't work.
Thanks again

1. Go to Control Panel
2. Go to Administrative tools
3. Go to Services
4. Go to QOS packet scheduler and disable it.
There does not seem to be a totally useful set of workaround yet. The rest of the thread is <a href='http://forums.techguy.org/showthread.php?threadid=97560&perpage=20&pagenumber=1' target='_blank'>here</a>
And still I am getting it. I was wondering if this QOS RSVP was it cos I can't find a something similiar to a packet scheduler in services. That thread is temporarily down so I can't read the rest to find out if it goes by another name
Thanks for you help Monsieur.

I found that QOS Packet Scheduler in my Network Connections in Control Panel on the LAN properties. I unclicked it. I will let you know if it works it not.
Thanks again Monse.

Lower your cl_rate, rate, cl_cmdrate and cl_updaterate, as well as increasing your heap size with the command line argument -heapsize xxxx
That worked wonders for me, I have never gotten the error since, and i'm still running that packet scheduler
In the console, type: rate
Take that value and lower it by 250 by typing: rate (your new value here, no parens)
Play for a while and see how things look stability wise versus your lag. If still unstable, lower it by 250 again. Keep doing this until things get more reliable, or you don't see any improvements (in which case return it to the original value and come back here).
Let us know how it goes folks so we can get a real fix figured out here. I don;t recomend playing with your cl_cmdrate and cl_updaterate unless you really know what you're doing, as you will more than likely make your connectivity much worse.
I've played for a couple of days. And the cursed error shows up enough to almost make me want to jump on puter, much like the field scene in Office Space
I will try out this rate thing and let people know how that goes.
