What I need to know tho is if this is a Mod or a stand alone game I happend to run across this NS_V2.0 DL

I thought it was a free game...     Its a HL mod. You will need HL to play it.
    Only mods that have gone retail that I know of are CS and DOD.

    NS 2.0 is currently a MOD for half-life it requires last i heard a DOD/CS/HL retail version to work not sure on the DOD/CS but i know it works with halflife. It is also only mutiplayer a single player is in the works last i heard by a diffrent mod group not sure how good it will be tho.

    It's a mod of Half-Life. You'll need to have it to play, or the Counter-Strike or Day of Defeat Retail. It is and always (hopefully) will be free, but it is optional to pay for the Constellation to donate money. This is a team-based, fun game. There are 2 teams, so if you get tired of taking orders from the Commander, try playing Aliens for a bit, which are more independent. Enjoy your time playing NS.

    Do us all a favour: Don't go commander for a while.
