Why not just make devour cost more stamina? You miss %70 of the time anyway.

    No matter where you aim at if the marine is smart enough to just keep moving he/she will dodge it.

    Its a bit harder to avoid it if they've stomped to stun you.

    Also, a little help for anyone who misses very often, try crouching when you devour, and make sure you're facing directly at them.

    But really I see nothing but good from this, it would maybe stop HA slaughter. I say make em' move slower and stop the abillity to redem when devoring HA, that would be perfect for us marines.

    *cough* if they make devour hit more often then yes, i'd like it, but currently there's too much wrong with devour and a higher energy cost could screw you over good from a missed attack caused by a bug.

    If they stun you then they would only get once chance to devour you because of the increased stamina requirment for devour. And if Onos can't stop HA then what will? If you want to stop Onos use teamwork, don't expect to take one down with two lmg marines.

    First they say "Play the game for a couple of weeks before you give ideas" then they take the ideas and make 2.01a. I'd say this topic is warranted.

    Actually, to be honest I've come pretty close to being taken down by only a few lmgers. But its usually later in the game when they have weapons upgrades and I'm just goofing around trying to devour them constantly <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo--> . I've always got Redemption tho, so I'm not taken down.

    True, if an onos doesn't have celerity then two light armored marines can make it redeem before it even reaches one of them. The only thing that this patch will do is make marine wins much quicker and alien wins much slower. Because it still depends on teamwork.

    EDIT: Can an admin/mod move this topic to the public beta forum because this really a reaction to 2.01a?

    Uh...yea, stun was already mentioned. A while ago.

    Anyway, it does bring hte fun of being an Onos down now that they aren't the tanks they used to be. Onos used to be able to take a beating from an HMG for at least 20 bullets, but now they get sliced like deli meat.
