After a while could u........
If u do nerf aliens, for balancing issues early in this version, can u review the situation after a month? Like nerf em, wait for them to suss rines and make sure u dont leave aliens nerfed? Because i quit 1.04 cause rines sussed it and nothing was done (i know i know u were developing 2) but it was aaaaaages before somtin was done. So if u do nerf em to satisfy the noobs, plz review the situation after a while. If rines start raping, jack the aliens back up. Then everyone is happy, early balancing issues fixed, and aliens wont suck forever like they did in 1.04.

Of course.
A well organised and disciplined alien team would have lost against a well organised and disciplined marine team.
Making it "more difficult" for Aliens isn't necessarily "nerfing" them, it just means they need learn new strategies. If you beg to differ about that then just consider how people claim they didn't "nerf" the Marines in 2.0, just made it more difficult.
They key to a marine victory is a good aware commander with an overactive microphone and a team of marines willing to listen.
The new commander mode improvements make commanding much easier and more effective.
(and if you want to go deep into this, it's because if people don't even take the time to type properly, their idea won't be so good anyway(most of the time), seeing as they're even too lazy to type right)

[rant]and DivW i usually type 'u' instead of 'you', but it doesn't reflect my views at all. i say 'u', so my ideas are worse than the next person's who just takes the time to hold shift, and write 'you'? i wouldn't say i have perfect grammar, but its not bad.. despite the fact that i don't use capitals and the like... if you ask me, what angers me is all the people who preach the "OMG Use good grammar! My oversized brain can't process all the terrible writing!" philosophy. let people type however they want. if you don't like how they type, then don't read it. don't post on the forums how much you hate how people type in order to get praise or something like that...[/rant]
The biggest evolutions should be mostly vulnerable to HMG and GL fire , not to the average rambo's shotgun/lmg... theses are meant to kill skulks , lerks and gorges , and be effective at other tasks only in squads...

Hm, interesting. An onos costs 100 res, so he should lose against a lvl 3 LMG too?[/sarcasm]
Since when do you need to hold shift to type 'you'?

Did I say that? No I didn't. If you look at my first post in this topic you'll see I said the exact opposite.
Until the point that you don't really care anymore. The aliens arn't nerfed. I enjoyed them, when I played. I'd usually just destroy the marines, if I myself, and my whole team were Onos. Now, you can't do that. The game times are a lot less longer now, which in my opinion, is nice overall change. Hopefully you can just adjust, like the marine public gamers did for 2.0.
um
considering fades have to actually GET UP and touch you (IE: melee attacks), it's going to take an extra second or so for the fade to get to you, thus you'll have the advantage of scoring more damage, and hitting it first
120 res for ALL players... for level 3 weapons. a ONE-TIME-only buy
Fades, if they die, they have to spend the res AGAIN to get fades
which means it stacks up over time.. not to mention 120 res is easier for the commander than it is for the aliens.

Yeah I agree with Philleh, and partially with the second post. JP/HMG in public games wasn't a real problem, you can't blame them for your lack of alien skill , but yes in clan matches....basically, marines had more potential to win in 1.04 because of the ranged weapon factor. Anyone with skill with a range weapon beats someone skilled with melee simply because 1 can attack from any range, the other must be close. Always been the reason, thats why lerks/fades are a good idea at 1 hive, onos is a tad bit over doing it considering every player on the alien team can drop an RT or chamber right away and get a nice early res flow for quick onos domination
As for Onos, 100 res isn't THAT hard to get. They shouldn't be the beginning and end of god-like power they were in 1.0x. As an Onos, the only time I really had a problem was when marines were sieging Biodome and you could only get to them by those slow elevators. Other than that, I haven't had a problem with dying. And no, I never take wussy redemption. Regeneration and Carapace are both very effective, without the flaming CHEESE effect of redemp+devour. If I digest you, it's because you deserved it.
Skulk might be a little too powerful in 2.0, but I don't want the return of wet tissue paper skulk from 1.04. Skulking should be fun. Not an exercise in futility.
