    So is it ok if I use it in my map?  I have already changed it alittle like adding a button to shutoff the inside lights so you can hide in the cockpit.  I also added another "tank" to the bottom of the Mech.  I'll give you credit where credit is due <!--emo&:)--><img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':)'><!--endemo-->  (BTW the map Im making is not going to be an official NS map nor is it going to be for download by anyone outside of SUF.  Don't worry you wouldn't want my map anyways.  This map is just for practicing purposes and spamming the heck out of eachother <!--emo&:D--><img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':D'><!--endemo-->)

    Got anymore Mechs?  That last one (2mech) looks like a AT-ST from Star Wars.

    has anyone played wizard wars before? has anyone heard of ww_golem (i think thats it) its where two teams fight over the control of a golem and command it (its like a giant rock mech with now weapons) u got to try to crush the enemy's base with it.. wasnt too succesful of a gmaetype in my opinion i hope this isnt what you were thinking of

    im a mech fan too (its realy bad that FASA went out of buisness <!--emo&:(--><img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/sad.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':('><!--endemo--> ).  i REALLY want to knwo how to compile, sos i can make mech maps <!--emo&:D--><img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':D'><!--endemo-->.  anywho, i think that more mechs would rock (maybe by using a trigger-multiple to trigger the control-train and trigger more trigger-multiples ofr the legs u could make it "walk")  im very new at mapping, but i would like help

BTW does anyone know how well mechs fit into NS, Does the supposedly fairly low level technology that the marines are supposed to have mean that they are not a good idea. Don't get me wrong, I really like mechs and I'd like seeing them standing ominously around some maps. I was just wondering how well they fitted in.

    we make the mechs just for decorative/fun purpouses marines WONT have mechs for use.....

    i wanna know how to compile, im thinkin of making a mech-map for halflife or counterstrike.  but i will need to know some tricks.  for instance, how to make somethign move a certain degree (leg) and how to make two cannons activated by a single button.  i would like to also know if u guys have some good missile textures (or just a flat missile-battery like thing.  im gonna try and amke a mad cat (timberwolf) map).

    first of all get yourself a copy zoner's halflife tools at this site <a href="http://www.valve-erc.com/cgi-bin/files.pl?folder=/resources/&filename=zhlt253.zip" target="_blank">valve erc</a>
    then get yourself nemesis' batch compiler at this site <a href="http://old.fileplanet.com/dl/dl.asp?counter-strike/countermap/batchcompiler114.zip" target="_blank">fileplanet</a>
    set it all up, (its pretty easy all you have to do is tell the batch compiler where all the zoner's .exe are), select your map file, compile.

    You COULD put a tank_control entity in the cockpit, and two arm cannons..

    Could look like a Rifleman IIC.

    I put those 2 mechs (I changed them both alittle) in my map and it changed the compile time from 30min to 3hrs 45min  <!--emo&:0--><img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wow.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':0'><!--endemo--> Good thing I compiled it at 2am this morning.
