I use the plantronics .Audio 70 Analog Headset. Its a nice light headset that provides all the sounds you could need while playing NS while also providing a good clear microphone. It has a inline volume control and mic mute switch which is also nice and handy. The .Audio 90 Analog Headset is also a good choice. It's a little bulkier than the 70 series, and it goes above your head instead of around the back, but you get better base out of them and the mic is a tad bit clearer.
You can pick either set up for around 20-30 dollars at circuit city or best buy, or if your not in a hurry you can probably find a online retailer selling them for cheaper than that.
Hope this helps!
I just ordered a pair of Plantronics DSP 500's for $66 off of newegg.
Their studio quality.
