<div class="IPBDescription">Another one of my boreing stories</div> As you all know, last night was the release party for NS 2.0 in Cambridge Mass. I was there, and I took a few pictures, I figure you guys might want to see em, and for good measure I'll tell you the story of my trip.
My journy began at around 1:00 that afternoon, with me trying to find a ride. After having yet another person cancel on me, I managed to scrounge up a ride to the train station in Lowell, about an hour away from Boston. After driving to Thorndike (hehehe......thorn...) St, where the station was located and completely missing the station itself once, I was dropped off nearby and walked to the station. I took the train into boston, where I got lost trying to find the Green Line subway terminal and doubled back into the station, then instead went on the Orange Line. I was wearing my "All Your Base" shirt, and I got a few odd looks for that, the guy giving out the token on the subway told me "That don't make no sense!" and seemed very frightened by it. At that point I thought I had broken my camera, so I mistakenly took these pictures:

Eventually I reached my stop in Harvard Square, and after getting lost again, I finally found the Adrenaline Zone.

When I got there it was only around 4:00, so there were only two people playing NS at the time, Bacon Bits, and his friend Tre Dawg (I think that was the spelling anyway) who left before I could snap a picture of em. Here's me upon first playing NS 2.0:

Wow! I sure was happy! The first thing I did was go marines, and was promptly devoured. I thought it was the coolest thing I had ever seen! Especially since after a few seconds the digestion sprite dissapeared and I was able to shoot from insode the Onos' belly. I informed Flayra of this several hours later, and he seemed very distraught. So anyway, after playing for two hours, the party finally began. Tha place filled up pretty quick, as these sadly lacking in quantity and quality digital pics show:

That last one was awful I know, but it was through the roof of the building, because at one point it became too crowded for everyone to fit in comfortably, so I decided to catch some air, then it was back to gaming! Summing up the way the games went was pretty easy, MARINES OWNED. For all but the first and last few games that I played in (and most that I watched) the marines cleaned up on the aliens. This is mostly due to the fact that shortly after the party began the marines learned that 1)Trying to knife gorges won't work (I got a few damned good spit AKA atomic loogey kills in that way), and 2)that shotties are god. It was all downhill from there. Although the games did last a bit longer than many thought they would.
After playing NS a little more, I decided to talk with the devs and such. In this picture I try in vain to get a pic of myself with Flayra, and in the process deprive him of sight in one eye. Apparently everyone else in this pic was high on NS at the time.

In order to prevent further retinal damage to Flayra (and in effect making sure that any future versions of NS would be possible) someone else (I think it was Forlorn's mom, but I really don't remember much of the details of who was there. I can't even remember the name of the other guy in the picture, and I know I should know his name. GRR MUST REMEMBER NAME!) took the camera and snapped a picture of me and Flayra and that other guy who I've been racking my brain to remember his name (I am THE WORST with names).

Around 10:00 the place started to empty out and there wasn't any more lines for the computers, so I got a few more games in. It was getting so empty by that time that there were actually free spots that no one wanted! GASP!

I played a little more, but I was started to get a little tired and wanted to talk to Flayra some more, so I took one last picture of the guys sitting next to me and went to go find Flayra. The pic contains #cri.sis on the left, dihard on the right, and I think the name of the guy in the middle was "rambo" or something like that (I suck with names!)

I found most of the devs and such that were still there hanging out just outside where it wasn't sweltering. After playing NS for several hours the real world's graphics seemed a little sub-par. In this picture Bathroom Monkey demonstrates the crappy physics engine of reality to Flayra by flailing his arm about wildly. (Shut up I know my camera sucks!)

At about that time, my ride (AKA my father) showed up to bring me home. I said bye to all the people I had met there who hadn't already left, and then I had to go.

After getting lost once more trying to LEAVE Cambridge, I finally got home, at which point I immediately called my girlriend, went on the IRC channel for about 30 seconds, uploaded these picture, downloaded NS 2.0, and played it until around 3:00 when I collapsed from exhaustion.

If he does that I'll have to start the "Save The Flayra" campaign, which would create a natural protected habititat for him somewhere in southern Vermont.

Things aren't "patched up" so much as "resolved" and they happened to resolve in my favor. And I wish you could have come too. If it were up to me every forum regular would have showed.
