The main topic is an interesting idea, although i dont think its necessary. That said however 1 dc is fairly naff on its own, so why dont u get 1 level of cloaking for each sensory in the area, increase range as appropriate.
Obs and snorry's are actually made usefull now and that's a good thing. They aren't overpowered if you know how to counter them.
I don't think it makes much difference though.
But do you know how large the actual range of an obs is? It's pitiful!
Obs needs a larger range, or sensory needs a smaller range. Or both.
I would prefer the obs range to be increased, as otherwise aliens will shout "OMG NERF, NERF!!!". Pluse it will encourage comms to put obs's at outposts.
All chambers heal themselves SLOWLY.
Why not making all chambers cloaking themselves SLOWLY, too.

one scanner sweep and the alien's sensory abilities are completely and utterly wasted for a few seconds (which is plenty long enough to kill them).
As for sensories needing to cloack eachother, i think it would be too much of a nerf, since it would force the aliens to double their sensory chambers.
If you ask me now, sens is the most powerful chamber out there, and I do think the sensory upgrades should be changed, so aliens would only be cloaked by sensories if they actually selected the cloking upgrade. Being able to be cloaked and having scent of fear at the same time seems to be too good a deal.
But since I'm seeing marines slowly adjusting to 2.0 I agree with those preaching patience. We are after all still noobs in 2.0
Becasue he wont be getting to many Res kills, untill he gets some OCs up. When you start out, you have 25 res, you choose to gorge and now all you have is about 16 (due to slow income) you have a choice, cap a Nozzle and leave it defenseless or make a lone OC to protect you a bit or make a SC to cloak the area till you have enough res to put up that RC.
If you are alone you would want to make the SC first, then you can move around and be safe from passers by. If you had to make 2, you couldn't, they would be useless becasue they would cost too much to have to make them the first choice
The SC is AWESOME, play the game more and you will learn how awesome!

25res -> gorge -> 16res ->
1st choice : 10 res = SC ... +building time = next 10 res ... second SC
2nd choise : build one SC in niche (hidden from direct view) .. and then build res ...
six res towers on start game is usual (6 players => 6 gorges => 6 res on start, but no defense ...)
Give it some time for the marine commanders to get their bearings and you will see the allmighty sensory chambers falling like flies.
