i just tested the models out... the 1.04 GL animations and the LMG animations are all pretty much the same length (well, except for the reloading animation, but the difference is highly noticable)
after trying it ingame, works like a charm, and you really won't notice the difference
so all you have to do is rename/replace the models, and it'll work just fine
i dont have such a backupfolder cuz the installer deleted all my ****ing custom stuff (over 100mb) when i pressed on the wrong button accidently <!--emo&:(--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/sad.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='sad.gif'><!--endemo-->

I used this model for a while before brigadier's. The added laser sight is pretty nifty <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->

Edit: I got it. I'm going to test it soon.
the heavy armor files are the ones that end in "_hv", like p_mg is p_mg_hv.
Just replace the p_mg_hv, v_mg_hv, and w_mg (world models don't need heavy hands.) with p_gg_hv and v_gg_hv.
EDIT: Alright.
I use this now as my LMG
<img src='http://www.dodstudios.net/uploads/uploads/mylmg.gif' border='0' alt='user posted image'>
and with a custom sound I found, it sounds AWSOME.
Anyway, this rocks! The Old GL is so much cooler than the LMG, and it's flawless!
so someone pls zip and release it
If someone could host it I'd gladly send it.
