Looked In The Sounds Folder Lately?

<div class="IPBDescription">what the.....</div> Have you guys looked at the sounds...in ns\sound\hud there's a lot of odd sounds that I've never heard lol...Has this been there for a while? There's some that say "I see dead people" and "This hive is my hive, there are many like it but this one is mine." I recognized that one from Full Metal Jacket. There's "we need better players." in the hive alien voice....o.O..umm easter eggs?

It gets triggered by rare events dometimes.
"this place is a mess" sometimes comes when many players die at the same time in the same place.

I heard the This Hive is Mine

It normaly comes after saving 2-3 hives from a rush of at LEAST 4 HA HMG's, HA GL's, JP HMG's, or JP GL,s.

You will also get it if 4 skulks beats 6 HA HMG/Gl's out of a hive!

Kinda sad, but I beat back 6 HA GL from the power silo hive by myself as a skulk!! And I saved the hive too!!

I think there's a server command to enable alien audio easter eggs... and it's on by default... I dunno how to hear the other sounds tho =P

AFAIK its completely random.

i believe you have to set it to a number, and that number means that you will hear an easter egg sound every X+1 games or something.

the marines have one, too, but i forgot what it was.

mp_eastereggchance (AFAIK) might have to be set on 5 to be able to hear them all. It's at 1 as default.

I believe some of them have specific trigers
Donce: seems to come up when 2 or 3rd hive is put up (I think 3rd)
we need better players: seems to come up when aliens get whuped on for an extended period of time
This place is a mess: seems to come up when there are ALOT of structs around (though this is the one I get the least <img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif'>)

I heard "This place is a mess." and about 10 seconds later, hive 3 went up.

I'll have to take a look. Donce is third hive up though, since it rarly happened in 1.04. I dont know what the other ones are. I see dead people is there too, but what is the marine one?

"Do something about it" when something happens and you fail to do anything.

"Dont' just sit there" when you're AFK.

I wish they'd make 'Now, we donce.' slighlty more enthusiastic. It's kinda bland how the hive says it. "Now... we DONCE!" or something would be better.

oh yah, there is one that is KINDA a mrine one

it is actua;y just the idel comm msg (I don't know if it plays or not)

it is split in 2 files :
marine_commanderidle1.wav

they play:
Don't Just Sit there
Do Something about it

I am assuming if you get allot of the same msg with out doing anything at all it will play <img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif'>

Yea I noticed that.

I've only heard,

"This hive is mine."

Usually happens when you defend off a hive from a rush.

I'm sure we'll test it a couple times until the early hours of the morning tonight, on Free Sunny D!

I was playing skulkapult the other week when i thought they should changed the "Now....we dance...", to: "Now....their F*CKED!"

It was funnier on the server.
