Sound Slower, Buzzing

I just noticed this on this most recent version. For some reason the sounds are slower than they ought to be (for anyone musically inclined, lowering them in pitch by a full step). And all sounds, including voice com, have an underlying buzzing. Anyone else notice this? Any fixes?

My system stats:

Dell Inspiron 8100 laptop
XP Pro SP-1
1.13 GHz P3 mobile
512 MB RAM
80Gig HD
GeForce 4 440 Mobile video card, 64 MB video RAM
ESS Maestro integrated sound

    try DLing latest drivers for it first up. (do a google if you can't find em)

    Does this happen ANYWHERE else? If not try to reinstall NS <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->

    It doesn't happen with any other HL mod, just NS. I may reinstall. It doesn't affect game play much, it's just annoying. I have the latest drivers installed and the latest DirectX.
