Is there any texture differences that stick out in 16-bit? Are the character models and stuff rendered in 16 or 32bit? Also, do the character models and object models look different in 16-bit detail-wise (eg: blurred details or less detailed)?
nothing that i can tell between. <!--emo&???--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/confused.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='confused.gif'><!--endemo-->
There are a few differences, but I find that its just best to play on 16 bit mode. Not worth the few differences to tax my graphics card a lot more than needed.

32 bit mode is made for high-end computers, and it DOES have differences, if you know how to activate them within your video card. Many of the newer cards have this, but basically, it makes things a LOT more colorful.
Well, I have a GeForce3 Ti200 64MB. How would you activate the features on it to compliment the 32-bit mode? However, if you just select 32-bit when you install NS and don't do anything to your card then NS will look the same right?
Thanks. Oh, and if I select use 32-bit only will NS run slower? Before I had use desktop depth which was at 32-bit but I ran NS in 16-bit. It should still run the same if not look the same right?
well then you have been playing in 32 bit the whole time <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo-->
Let me get this right, selecting the "Runs NS in 32-bit Mode" when you install NS is the same as going to your vidcard settings and checking "Always run in 32bpp".
Well i think... But checking that option makes sure everything which uses opengl will be forced to use 32bit (Even if it has no effect at all on graphics it will still slow it down)
