Turret Farm Counter

<div class="IPBDescription">to hell with redemption</div> Why do people say onos cant work against turret farms?? Today i was going onos.. got carapace..celerity, and cloaking.. I would charge into the base, take down what structures i could, usually 2-3 turrets and run out with around 50-200 health remaining.
Regenerate at d chambers and repeat..
now i DID die a lot
however it got me to thinking
Divide and Conquer.
Have the WHole team go onos, thats a lot of health right there... And have them rush in together.... All the turrets and most marines will target the first onos.. so he will rush in and possibly rush back out 3-5 seconds later... but all 8-12 following onos will have much time to charge every building to a pulp, since as soon as the first onos leaves.. the turrets/marines will acquire individual targets, thus not causing much damage to a carapaced onos.
I tried to get this done today, with little sucess, it would take a lot of coordination, and no one agreed with me on its potential lethality to turret farms.. Imaging 10 chargin onos each attacking different buildings. Even if they DID all die, the marines with their one res node wouldnt be able to counter due to the WOL all over
Any thoughts as to whether this will work, and im going to try it somewhere as soon as i can convince a team it will work

No, you want a lerk at least. And, this is basically what most teams do, except they throw a gorge in too (gorges + primal = the win!)
25 lvl 3 turret ssimply slaughter EVERYTHING

The first onos to rush in is the BAIT... he simply rushes in and usually dies FAST
Then the turrets will divide thier fire between all the other onos that are suddenly there.... each one will be hit with maybe 3-5 turrets plus 1-3 marines......Thier huge amt of health, plus carapace will give them sufficient time to be able to deal with this problem by destroying many buildings <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->

Oh, wait... the marines are the crackers for the onos... *gulp*
2 onos, 2 gorges, and a lerk = 250 res, and with umbra to reduce the harm done to the onos and one of the gorges maybe healspraying from time to time, you'll work much more efficiently. That's how it's done - not by some kind of onos-slaughtering war of attrition, but by using a mixed force with abilities that support each other.
Have the gorges drop MCs outside too and you're laughing - non-stop BB or healspray from the adren boost.
First, get 5 people together, have one go lerk, one go gorge, and 3 go onos. Then build 25 l3 turrets. And test. And watch it work.

Yes, but you don't need 2 gorges. 1 is sufficient, 2 oni can't shield 2 gorges and a lerk properly while still attacking. And, oh boy, that lerk with his primal and his umbra is the piece de resistance.

If you had a lerk (hive 3?), it would have been even better! Lerks + gorge + something to block shots preferably onos but fade works too = the win! And yes, I know that was a runon.
No, xenocide double damage against structures is gone. Mostly it's just used to shove unaware heavies off railing and to their death. (I'm kidding, it has other uses, don't flame me!)
Hahaha funniest thing I've heard in awhile. A couple GLs and they won't even need a barbecue. There is no counter against turrets with Ha GLers. Face it. Why do you think some of these games last 100 minutes?
Why do u go for the turrets. Why not the turret factory, the "source of all evil" so to speak...
True, hard to get there. But better one target then say, 10.

Cara'd gorges with adrenaline and lerk support are a lethal combination for taking down turret farms IMO, and much more effective than big stupid oni.
