well you aren't the only one who won a marine game

Yeah it's called expanding as a marine, I know that concept may be foreign to most of you, but it's a real strategy. Either that or turtling aliens, I've seen that once or twice. So sad..

Strange, the aliens I play against have this aversion to marines trying to expand, they keep trying to kill my respoints and bases. Usually with success. Simply saying "expanding" doesn't really help: if you have an ACTUAL stratagy then please post it because I'd love to know the details.
Please include information on stopping the 2nd alien hive from going up, preventing early alien expansion, holding marine resource nodes, preventing the appearance of early oni and also allowing enough res for marine teching.
the only way i've seen rines win is turret farming, and even then the farms werent particularly effective, they just slowed us down while they teched up, by the time we took a hive back they were rolling in with HA and HMG's

Hehe. Be nice, he's not entirely off... A few of the servers I was regular on in early 2.0 have started being less fun since the regulars are stacking aliens rather than put the effort into 'rines.
what have I always said marines will start to win as soon as they adjust them self <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo-->
Marine win when they got a good commander and a team that can shoot/listen to the comm. And not PERFECT aliens <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo-->
Tell ya what.. marine wins are not all that rare. Played a game last night, two marine wins out of two games I was in. One game was a literal freight train of dominance. We moved from hive to hive, not even securing those we cleaned out, and annihilated. The alien team wasn't GREAT but wasn't bad either, so it was challenging, but not overly so. Our teamwork made it a breeze.
Second game, more teching and bases at secured hives. Two hives down, the last one was the hardest because the alien team pulled together and made one hell of an effort, but we still rocked.
In both games, our commander was awesome. Two different comms, two separate tactics, but all one team working together. THIS is how the game should play.
I may be Mistaken.. but I believe Ryo-Ohki just owned Gazaar.
I watched you in a demo Ryo - nice work <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->

Was it the new Mod with the auto-electric buildings?
