I'd actually like to show my kids a fargen condor someday, and not on a postcard.
But I guess killing off an entire species doesnt bother some people. So to you I say, if you plan to fire a weapon at least know what the hell youre shooting at. "I didnt know anything about condors before I shot the **** out of one" perfect, poster child for the anti-gun crackers out there
Oh wait, it's a bird. Birdseed!
Oh wait, it's death.
Well, dont worry. We can help. Just ring the free phone number 0800 8010 for claims 2003!
Here are some of our happy clients.
James: "I dropped a bucket of hot boiling tar over myself, i got £10,000... Im looking at a autocue, cant you see?"
Sarah: "I was driving but i had to taste some alcohol as its my job. I crashed due to drink driving, i got £20,000"
It is also no win no fee...
So remember, if you've had and accident ring 0800 8010 for claims 2003!
<span style='font-size:8pt;line-height:100%'>this is fake as you can tell and i would like to know it is just a pisstake, thxkbai.</span>
Oh really? Why's that?
Then again, noone should be allowed guns, apart from those keeping things civil.
Stupid people should not be immune to the law.
Ignorance BY FAR.
But in this case the guy simply had no knowledge of the bird being on the protected-animals list, so it would be unjust to punish him with a 5-year probation and fines. What will that teach him? If anything, they should force him to memorize the entire endangered species list, perform a test overseen by an FBI agent to determine his knowledge, and if he fails, he's put under house arrest under the supervision of Barbara Bush.
*phew* Long run-on sentance, enjoy!
A species going extinct isn't anything you can fix, it's a bit more permanent than that. A whole lot of people actually care about preventing stuff like that, and not just hippies, so one guy shouldn't have the right to go ahead and just shoot a member of an endangered species. The fine isn't just an arbitrary thing, it's there to remind people to pay more attention to what they kill.
"Run! it is LOCK-o-ZILLA!"
If it's something as minor as Jaywalking maybe they would let him off the hook with just a warning or something, but if he came over and killed someone's skull off with a brick, then i see what you mean...
Did you know that about 100 species become extinct everyday? So does killing one bird make a difference amongst all the animals and organisms that die every day? Yes it does, but what about the millions of chickens that die in **** conditions, which the PETA are always complainining about?
I think this guy does deserve a punishment for killing something endangered, I mean there is really no reason to kill anything, unless you want to eat it or study it. But IMHO, it should be a small fine, maybe 150 dollars american and a warning not to do something like that again.
This guy reminds me of that dude from the short story , "The Most Dangerous Game." He for some reason, reminds me of someguy going out to hunt all these exotic, wild, and endangered creatures, for the challenge. Don't ask me why, but he does.
Anyways people, we all die, its not like that one bird was going to live forever. Lets just say, he was helping the natural cycle of things.
No matter what thbey do to justify them, just compare the figures of the amount of gun crimes committed with guns and the amount of guns crimes had guns not been available on any level.
Whoops, sorry for the hijack.
What have you ever done for me? *polishes a nonexistant gun*
Just because something hasn't done a favour or anything useful for us doesn't give us the right to kill it. It's life, too.
But what if it was a zombie bird!

Yea well, get the numbers for how many times a gun has saved a life or stopped a crime.
He stated that it is a bad rep. that someone shot at a extremely endangered bird. and killed.
and in fact, its our fault they are in that endangered state. maybe its not big deal, really it isnt, it would have no effect on our lifes what so ever.
but doesnt that sound just wrong?
hmmmm. so replying to the original post. . if someone didnt know condors were an endangered species? thats just a sad sad thing.
if he honestly didnt know. i mean let the guy go with a fine... and take his gun permit, till he deserves to go hunting. and he didnt get fined for killing the deer...more so for avoiding the very exensive out of non-resident permit you have to purchase. and evidentally lieing about it, im sure they cared nothing about the deer. just the money and fraud. <!--emo&;)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/wink.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='wink.gif'><!--endemo-->
<span style='color:red'>and on the subject of hunting...
Whats up with all these save the deer people...
are they blind!!! there is already an over population of deer.
if the number of deer tags had a very limited limit <!--emo&--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/mad.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='mad.gif'><!--endemo--> . that would actually be more cruel to the animal. when they over populate to the extreme. and have no where to go.
plus that would mean more cars getting hit by deer....o or wait deers getting hit by cars <!--emo&;)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/wink.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='wink.gif'><!--endemo-->
i respect the animal. but keeping the population under control is a must. <!--emo&???--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/confused.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='confused.gif'><!--endemo-->
whats your opinions? just to add a bit more to this topic.</span>

They aren't saying ALL deer are endangered. They're saying that a certain deer is endangered.

ok if a deer was endangered they would sell deer tags for that deer. and there is no other deer in our area besides a white tailed dear. and they are NOT endangered. They are not protesting anything about endangered deer. The argument is they veiw hunting as cruel. <!--emo&;)--><img src='http://www.natural-selection.org/forums/html/emoticons/wink.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='wink.gif'><!--endemo--> and think it should be limited or stopped all together, which will never happen. or shouldnt happen... i mean with the tags they give out now. the population still grows...
Probation would probably do, along with having to re-take safety courses for guns, etc.
<i>Edit:</i> Bleh, can't spell today.
The problem with that, is that you can probably find someone willing to pay more than 150 dollars for a condor.
