Running a Toshiba Modem, please help.
My cable internet has degraded in the past month to below the service of phone line. I actually want phone line instead of this pile of junk, its that bad.
I dont know my OP system specs, because is was a christmas gift, and its custom built. But I can read the little labels outside of the computer...heres what they are...
AMD Athlon Processer XP
Nvidia Grapics Card
MSI Multimedia
Creative Sound Blaster Surround Sound
Thats really all I know. The choke when I type in net_graph 3 goes up to seventy or higher most of the time, and loss goes to about three to five points. I also run on USB, not lan line, as my custom built computer doesnt have a lan line connecter or whatever, its just a dark hole back there, nothing to plug it into.
I'm running the cable with a toshiba modem. Its the grey one, PCX1100U are the numbers on it. Can anyone help? I'm going to attempt to run this thing on NS. If any help is offered thankyou.

So you are saying that the only thing wrong with your cpu is your cable connection?

Yes, cable is my only problem. Just so you know, it took me a minute just to get to the reply page. It took fourty five seconds the first time I clicked it, and it went to a "page not found" page, I clicked back, then clicked it again, and after extensive waiting, it came up. Jeez, bout time. Let me go run that program real quick. And why did you say merry christmas? Eh, I dont want to know, hold on, program running time.
