If Ns Was Perfectly Balanced

would it cause more complaints?
At the moment aliens are more powerful, everyone knows that including flayra. Personally im happy with this just as I was in 1.04, except it was the marines who were on top. If you play as aliens you can relax a bit and enjoy taking out 4 marines at a time with just your teeth. As marines I have concentrate and work hard, so when thoses rare wins do come, they feel extra special and are a highly rewarding experience.
But what if both side were perfectly balanced? Would this mean that NS would be complaint free and a joy to play? Recently ive seen lots of complaints about stalemates, and surely by making both teams totally even, this would just increase the number of stale games where one side takes hours to overcome the other.

One thing I've noticed though is that it doesn't go both ways. Winning as aliens is quite boring and usually very long. Same goes for playing and eventually losing as marines. Marines are *only* fun when organizing the demise of the final alien hive (perhaps also the first 5 minutes of game capping that first res node). Everything inbetween seems quite tedious and essentially the same in everygame.
Actually winning as marines--awesome
Normal play of marines--boring

Anyone else feel the same way? Is this a 'feature'? Does it intice enough players to choose marines for the off chance that they'll win that game? Thats basically the only reason I pick marines. Sorta like that one golf shot that brings you back next week. "Maybe we'll win this time."
More balance to the game may even out the fun factor for 'playing' each race, but it will also even out the fun factor for winning. Is that worth it? I don't know.
I'd rather have a game that was balanced and a stalemate due to equal skill than one team of people messing around tied with a team using the best tactics possible.
Did that make ANY sense?
I disagree. The games Ive played many people know that aliens usually win which results in teamstacking. I usually go random unless i had 3 straight marine games before.

You are so wise.
At least the opposing forces would be even, though this would probably make the complaining degrade into flamewars. (more than it does now)
Y'know, I've seen that referred to several times, that the game was balanced until they changed it to make it more fun... it makes me wonder exactly which features were put in that made the game more fun...
