After 1+ hour game, I couldn't take it anymore and I quit the game cause It would last for ever.
OMG NS =X (<b>N</b>ade <b>S</b>pam) SUX!
It just started with 2 GLs, armory and ip, 20 minutes after the game started.
50 minutes later, when I left, they had 6 armories, 5 Tfs, turret farm and Heavies.
4 marines constantly spamming the 2 doors. we tried to rush them with 5 onos, we could only kill like 2-3 turrets, and 2 marines, and died.
Lerks or fades couldn't even get close to the doors, as they were dying immediately.

a thread was made by optikal a bit earlier, about the same game. I guess he posted it while i was converting and uploading screenshots/demo
and my bad. after watching his demo i noticed there were 7 nade spammers. 9vs9 game.

he said he had no problems with nade exploit, well ofcourse, he was the one who was spamming nades =X

you won't survive. Trust me.
The only solution I know works 100% of the time is to wait them out. Or tell the marines exactly what they're doing (nothing, prolonging the game pointlessly). Usually there are 4 decent human beings on each team, and that's enough for an auto-concede vote when such lame occurs, or a kick commander vote, so that the armories will be scrapped, HMGs dished out, and one last stand to be made, before the marines lose.
Aliens have the ping of death, and marines have sieges.. the converse of a marine problem cannot, ideally, exist. (I know this wasn't mentioned, but I figured I'd mention why you never see aliens doing this)
[edit] but yes, its hard to do [(and by do i mean terminate)] this. usually 4 decent ppl on each team like Speed 2 Dave said. onos rush is worth a shot too, if asking them to concede doesn't work.[/edit]

The glers seemed to be in HA, plus the turrets will shread Fades in seconds. And even if you get one gler down, someone just replaces him: net accomplishment is nothing. You also have to get THROUGH the continuous explosions to reach the HA: that's gonna strip your health. A proper GL spam can't be broken.

Dude that happens almost every game. and Flayra can fix this problem. We just all have to ask him.. how simple is that.

And yes, this new trend does make NS less entertaining but I wouldn't say NS sux... l4m3 commanders and marines who keep it going, now <i>they</i> sux.
What do you want them to do? Go back to the retarded old armory system where it took 5 minutes just to get 10 bullets in my pistol? Or what limit the number of GLs given out? Hey while they are at it why dont they correct EVERY possible "lame" thing that could be done in the game? No building in vents, no boosting, no clan stacking, no auto conceed, auto team balance, no turret farms, etc etc etc
If you were playing on a team with a combined total of just 3 brain cells they would of ejected the comm and went out with a bang. Not a two hour stalemate with no chance of winning.

However, I do agree that nade spam is a big enough problem to warrant looking into a fix because there's basically no counter for it other than a combination of sheer luck and brute force. Add in the usual flair of turret spam and it can ruin the game, causing auto-concedes, or 2-3 hour rounds in cases of the very determined, or very populated servers.
Oh wait. There are more threads whining about long end games than there are letters in bible. Dev team IS aware of this and they will do something about it if and when they see fit.

and, it doesnt happen every game . if it does you ARE on the noob servers. i only witnessed a true GL stalemate once, and thats because i was commanding and did it right. on eclipse, 4 GL's on each door , horse vent welded . at least 10 turrets each door quite far back to stop any skulks leaping through or onos that dont quite die to the 8 nades going off per second. (btw i sold ip's at 45:00 on the clock, i was just proving a point to myself that marines dont lose if they dont want to)
